Introducing Twelvez, a two track, 12 inch series from the ec2a camp. A subtle nod to the classic, club ready twelve. Expect one track per side, cut at 45rpm for extra emphasis and bass weight.

First up are two rising producer in UK Garage, Daffy & Dominus, combining for 'Warlord' - A Dubstep number featuring London City Warlord and OG Roll Deep general, Riko Dan. Classic 140 arrangement and sub-lows setting the pace for the one of the most recognisable grime flows over the past two decades. On the flip comes a speed garage remix by the ever illusive Yorkshire outfit Soul Mass Transit System.

@lure_music's new single ‘Ruminate 2-step’ is sun-soaked and light-hearted — a ready-made summer bop designed to light up outdoor parties all over the UK. Influenced by the smokey lounge vibes of UK-jazz and the vocal-laden garage riddims of emerging artists such as Bklava and Ell Murphy, and inspired by an OCD diagnosis during lockdown, Lu.Re delivers five cuts of introverted, viola-laced 2-step and UKG with the hope of shedding more light on the mental health condition.

Representing Jersey next up on our Time Is Now white label series is one of UKG’s most exciting up-and-comers who brings some serious ruffage whilst paying tribute to his Turkish heritage through melody and instrumentation.

Having recently collaborated on a weighty dubstep number with Riko Dan and TIN family members, Daffy & Soul Mass Transit System, Dominus has already established his place amongst some of the scene’s most widely-recognised names. It’s clear to see why. In The Shadows EP brings to the table five full-bodied UKG bangers, one with a unique twist which in particular sets his production style apart and pays testament to his experimental prowess. 

‘Sultan’ takes its stylistic inspiration from traditional Turkish worship song, translating in Arabic-inflected vocal wails and instrumental percussion, and giving an exciting taste of what’s to come in his forthcoming material. With a warped bassline and wub galore, ‘On Fire’ is sure to be heard in DJ sets across the country, whilst ‘Sweet Enough’ sees Dominus team up with close compadre and Aussie stalwart, DJ Sunroof, on a similarly naughty number. Finally, antagonistic vocal chops prewarn of ‘Psycho Blud’’s fierce tone, later remixed by one half of illustrious duo Frankel and Harper who injects an infectious 4x4 rhythm and brings the EP to a rapturous close.

1Forty welcomes newcomer Dominus to the label, with another veteran MC - Riko Dan. A record fit for the deepest darkest corners of the UKG rave scene which is the epitome of the sound coming out of the clubs right now.

Born in London and raised in Jersey, Dominus is currently the name on the lips of the underground. With a passion for instruments from a young age, and electronic music as a teen, he began his production journey at 16. He has experimented with various electronic genres over the years to thank for the many influences in his eclectic sound that he’s carved out for himself as a now established name in the UK bass music space.

Successful releases on Strictly Flava and Wang Records inspired him to drop his own independent vinyl EP project ‘Sweet n Sour’ which sold out 300 copies in less than a month. This saw his tracks get picked up by Shall Not Fade and ec2a in the months that followed, the latter a collab with Riko Dan. A whirlwind 2021 and 2022 resulted in support from the pioneers of the UK underground DJ EZ, Skream, Conducta as well as Disclosure which has lead him to seeing the year out linking up with Riko Dan once more on ‘Just Like This’.

Born and raised in London, Riko began MCing at age 15 on Drum and Bass pirate stations. Before long he was rolling with the best of them in Wiley’s Pay As U Go Cartel. When eski clicks replaced breaks and a new generation of South London vocalists took over the pirates, Riko was armed and ready. In the years since he has gone on to be ever present and as versatile as they come with iconic records over the years alongside Pinch & Mumdance, Trends & Boylan, The Bug, Friction, Skream, Foreign Beggars, Y U QT and the list just goes on and on.
