An intentional collaboration between revered global artisans, Earth Keepers unveils three devotional pieces among three inspired architects. A document conceptualized, developed and ultimately manifested over a four year sojourn, many moons and long miles in the making, the Earth Keepers EP evolved from nascent conversations between Brazillian musician Poranguí and Sahuna Love (of Shaman’s Dream) on the prescient need for improved loving stewardship of our sacred Earth Mother.  Along with crucial contributions from Eric Zang - a flute and percussion master-  this music seeks to inspire individuals to cultivate their own bodily temples in accordance with the purity of Mother Gaia.  Guided by principles of reciprocity and complementarity - with an understanding that we are all vessels comprised of Earth elements, let us dance and sing in body and breath, moving gracefully through life, and make the righteous choices to bestow our beloved planet with her appropriate honor and respect. 

Earth Keepers channels mystery and the mystic with a fluid and hypnotic pace, sensitive prayers thick with natural bass tones and singing ethereal, archaic melodies far older than we could ever know. The musicians subtly incorporate modern electronic production flourishes to the mostly-organic canvases, spinning tales rich in buoyant traditional percussion and vibrant live instrumentation. A gift to Sahuna from an old growth cedar tree under a full moon, “Cedar Moon” invokes an irreplicable healing energy that flows when spirit works through us, a drummer trusting in the moment and improvising from a place of deep listening. Hang drum, Ngoni, Kaval flute, each deftly blended with dynamic digital soundscapes courtesy of NorCal-based producer Geometrae. 

Stretched skins sing to the stars as fingers and palms dig into drums, ”Nefes” reveals the hollow flute as wise and patient narrator, impassioned melodies speaking in tongues familiar. A breath which animates all life, a wind that whisks across desert horizons, a diaphanous sound at once ancient and nomadic. “Olorum” gently invokes the divine presence of the Creator; it brings blessings of Supreme Being in the Yoruba spiritual traditions. A patient serenade of primordial creativity from which vast mountains of infinite possibilities emerge. “Olorum” ebbs and flows, a precious offering to the Ruler of the Heavens, so we may better steward the intricate web of life. 

On the collaborative EP Earth Keepers, Poranguí, Shaman’s Dream, and Eric Zang time-travel across the continents, transmitting transcultural rhythms and gossamer hymns. Shaman's Dream, Poranguí, Eric Zang - Earth Keepers

Cedar Moon is the first track released from a 3 song EP called “Earth Keepers” produced by Shaman’s Dream, Poranguí and Eric Zang.

The song was a gift to Sahuna from an old growth Cedar Tree under the full moon at his home in Nevada City. When recorded, it was done in one take with Shaman’s Dream on Hang Drum, Poranguí on Ngoni, Eric Zang on Kaval Flute and Beats created by Geometrae.

Cedar Moon reflects the healing energy that comes from opening, listening and allowing spirit to work through us. Trusting in the power of being in the moment and improvising from a place of deep listening.

The Earth Keepers project emerged from a personal inquiry between Poranguí and Sahuna Love (Shaman’s Dream) around what it means to be better stewards of our sacred Earth Mother. At the core of this question came the understanding that we are each bodies comprised of the Earth elements and can only care for Mother Gaia when we cultivate & care for our body in relation to a place.

Guided by the principles of reciprocity and complementarity we are more capable of living in right relation to the elements and all of life. Rooted through the body & inspired from the breath, we dance & sing as an offering to life helping us conduct ourselves through the world and everyday choices with care for this precious planet we call home.

Shaman's Dream is a musical prayer for healing, transformation, love, and happiness for all beings.

Sahuna Love (Founder of Shaman's Dream) is a Multi-percussionist, DJ, Music Producer, Medicine Ceremony Facilitator, and Healing Arts Practitioner. Sahuna is inspired by the spiritual musical lineages from around the globe and the healing power of the drum. Every Shaman's Dream offering is a ceremony and opportunity for all who receive the music to create an intention and prayer for their own lives, utilizing the music as medicine.

Shaman’s Dream, Sahuna's multi-faceted music collective, has been at the forefront of the yoga, festival and ecstatic dance music scene, since 1995. As a producer and the musical director he's facilitated hundreds of ecstatic dance/ “live” world music concerts, plus countless live music for yoga classes and ritual retreats. Sahuna's other projects included being the co-founder of Yogitunes - www.yogitunes.com - an online digital music store that features a huge selection of yoga inspired music, Co-Producer of Ecstatic Dance Retreats, and co-producer of Desert Dwellers projects –Waves, Flames, Roots, and many other Downtempo music projects. 

As a percussionist, Sahuna has performed with countless music producers and performers such as: Porangui,  Bluetech, Desert Dwellers, Kaminanda, David Starfire, Yaima, FreQ Nasty, Jason Hann (EOTO& String Cheese), Isaac Chambers, Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Dave Stringer, C.C. White, Donna De Lory, Tina Malia, Chris Berry and many others. 

Presently, Craig is performing and helping to produce/ stage manage for many of the transformational festivals and yoga/ ecstatic dance communities all over the world.
