Almass Badat presents 2+hrs of amapiano, blending sounds from the genre's South African source with contributions from Nigeria, Ghana, the USA as well as selections from the fast-growing South Asian amapiano fusions from the No Nazar (LA), Daytimers (London) and DJMattz (South Africa).

"From kwaito came Afro house, most popular in the 2000s, and in the early 2010s came gqom. The sound reached its cultural peak around 2018, and while it continued to make waves in the years that followed, by early 2019, amapiano had taken over South African radio and clubs. Amapiano began to gain traction in South African townships — historically racially segregated residential areas — in 2016. Today I decided to just hit record with no plan and see what happens. Ended up liking this enough to want to share it. I suppose flying by the seat of my pants is more in line with my style as a DJ and human 🙃
