This is a song for my Mary, but it is applicable to all Mary's. 

This is my first attempt at recording new material since last summer, I've been writing and playing a lot, but I just haven't had the time lately to get my ideas on tape. So it's nice to get this one out, and hopefully, it'll not be as long a wait for my next.

Sleepwalking into Self Destruction (Instrumental)

I am excited about collaborating with soprano Maribel Villarroel and arranger and pianist René Calderón. The lyrics are from Pablo Neruda's Sonnet IV from the book "100 Love Sonnets" (Cien Sonetos de Amor), translated by Stephen Tapscott. The Fundación Pablo Neruda has granted permission.

Soneto IV  (Letras de Pablo Neruda)

Recordarás aquella quebrada caprichosa.                                                                                                  a donde los aromas palpitantes treparon,                                                                                                  de cuando en cuando un pájaro vestido                                                                                                   con agua y lentitud: traje de invierno.

Recordarás los dones de la tierra:                                                                                                     irascible fragancia, barro de oro.
