Those Mockingbirds are a rock band consisting of all kinds of sounds like drums, guitars, more guitars, keyboards and violin. At times dirty and heavy, or ambient and unresolved, it’s music that is appropriate to work up a sweat to in a dirty basement. It strives to portray raw emotion, both musically and lyrically, relying only on their musical instincts.

REDTIE was formed in the begining of 2007 with the purpose of updating Thrash and Death Metal, playing musical elements from the 1980’s and elements of recent production inside this metal styles, with the intention of creating a new conception of Thrash Metal. REDTIE sounds aggressive, fast and with lyrical themes like politics, violence, movies and history. WHY REDTIE? The War of Canudos happened in Brazil, in late XIX century, between republican troops and religious fanatics, leaded by Antonio Conselheiro, that formed a community of almost eight thousand people. The colonel Moreira Morais executed an extermination practice with great psychological appealing. Descriptions of eyewitnesses and war correspondents said that the procedure consisted in pulling back the hair of the prisoner, introducing two fingers of the left hand in the prisoner’s nose and cutting his or her throat with a knife, so the blood would drain down the body. This practice was nominated red tie – REDTIE -, and although it was used since the Federalist Revolution, it was only during the War of Canudos that it got known all over Brazil.
