From early experiments with Sony Sound Forge at age ten to crafting immersive DJ mixes and originals today, RIL (a.k.a. Res Ipsa Loquitor) has spent decades evolving his sound and carving his own sonic identity. Rooted in wide-ranging influences and energized by moments that move people, his work spans rich textures, rhythmic depth, and unexpected emotional twists.

A lifelong student of sound, Lee began sculpting audio long before SoundCloud existed. Over the years he’s mastered analog and digital platforms alike—from vinyl and classic turntables to advanced digital workflows. Beginning his DJ journey with Numark gear in Las Vegas and now commanding Pioneer setups with Rekordbox , Serato and Djay Pro2, RIL blends technical precision with creative intuition.

In the studio, he utilizes Adobe Audition, Ableton Suite, MPC Beats, and a range of controllers (APC40, MPD's, MPC Force, and MPK's) to shape original compositions and remixes that defy easy categorization. His catalog reflects a restless creative spirit— deep groove mixes, Hip-Hop and classic rock influenced and sampled remixes, holiday-themed electronic explorations, and genre-fluid productions that invite repeated listening.

RIL’s journey is defined by evolution: from youthful tinkering to seasoned live sets, and from solitary edits to tracks designed for shared experience. Always learning, always refining, his music is both a personal expression and an open invitation to listeners who seek sound that resonates.
