➤ About this VA:

100 years ago the world lived in chaos. Huge wars between humans, as well as great advances in technology that changed forever the face of the world, a world that according to many artists, lived as a prisoner of the rational mind and that did not allow us humans to understand life and the Universe in its wide spectrum.

This is how, with its mystical origin in Dadaism, Surrealism was born. A movement that sought to explore and venture into the limits of the human mind through art. Initially literature, but also reaching the visual arts and so much more. Then decades later, the first psychedelic artists were born, much closer to music in its origins and who represented a rebellion against the established norms in the face of a world in chaos.

Today after 100 years, the scenario is complex again. There are wars, there is a technological revolution and the world is coming out of a great chaos caused by a virus that produced a great crisis. Can we perhaps learn something from the ideas of surrealism, to understand today's world?, remove ourselves from the entirely rational mind to which technology and the "information society" push us, to finally understand the world from an alternative perspective?

Making this compilation was a leap into the void, a mixture of psychic automatism and cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) that ended with a very free, authentic and very fresh result, with the wonder of the unexpected, including very purely electronic songs, with ideas of techno and even psy trance, like other more tropical ones with psychedelic cumbia, of course others more pop and the others, those that are usually there in our music, the ones totally trippy.

We hope you enjoy this great compilation full of freedom and unusual ideas, which will help you connect with another world through music, rhythm and love, thank you eternally!

Orama is a form that takes place in consciousness and does not comes from the senses but from phantasy, as an extension of experiential experience. The form of Orama is not limited to only one “sense” (like vision) and many times can includes spiritual qualities like emotions. Orama is the “compass”, the “light” that somebody follows in order to reach his destination. Is the source of inspiration for the right choices or the new rules while, at the same time, gives the ability to control the rules of a policy by setting the morality that must condition them. Orama is driving the legislator and move him into the right direction to set and fill out the rules in a way that they’re not deviate from the morality and the values of it. The lack of Orama to somebody makes him walking or driving anybody else based on a vague logic or emotion even if he/she is based on acceptable rules that cannot exclude the wrong choices. Orama is the driving force in order to succeed on targets and can drift to individual or collective volunteering. Orama is the new compilation of Shango Records. We started working on that track with the take of Niko's vocals and we immediately thought that we were creating some kind of a safe space, like an emotional bunker not only with this track, but with the whole project, so we figured that this could be the EP's title. The "words" that are sung in this piece are totally invented language and they reflect the creative safe space that we want to suggest with this track, which was also the first one where we brought in Kyle’s modular sounds. The remix by Thommie G is really deep and we like it very much.

Tantra (Sanskrit: तन्त्र) literally means "loom, warp, weave".
According to Padoux, the verbal root Tan means: "to extend", "to spread", "to spin out", "weave", "display", "put forth", and "compose". Therefore, by extension, it can also mean "system", "doctrine", or "work".

Tantra (/ˈtæntrə/; Sanskrit: तन्त्र, lit. 'expansion-device, salvation-spreader; loom, weave, warp') refers to an esoteric yogic tradition that developed on the Indian subcontinent from the middle of the 1st millennium CE onwards in both Hinduism and Buddhism.
The term tantra, in the Indian traditions, also means any systematic broadly applicable "text, theory, system, method, instrument, technique or practice".
A key feature of these traditions is the use of mantras, and thus they are commonly referred to as Mantramārga ("Path of Mantra") in Hinduism or Mantrayāna ("Mantra Vehicle") and Guhyamantra ("Secret Mantra") in Buddhism.
