BEGOTTEN SILENCE is a melodic death/thrash metal five-piece from Budapest, Hungary. We mix the brutality of death and thrash metal with melodic riffs combined with the atmosphere of horror, life and suffering.

Apey & The Pea formed in 2009 in the heart of Budapest, Hungary after the breakup of their Pantera tribute band where the three founding members met. Throughout the years the band mastered their skills with their extremely aggressive live performances and the commitment to their intense riff oriented devotion to give their audience the best live experience to walk home with. Such influences like Crowbar and the classic doom/thrash & grunge scene gave the perfect combination to play in every corner of Hungary with mostly sold-out shows. First EP released in 2011 'The Day Ends'. In 2013 the band released their first LP 'Devil's Nectar' & won the best album of the year on "Hangsúly" Hungarian Heavy Metal Awards twice, also won Artist of the Week on MTV IGGY. April 2014 the band released their second LP 'Hellish', Co-Headlining with CROWBAR later with SAINT VITUS. "Best Hard Rock Album" FONGORAM Awards (Hungarian Grammys) won for HELLISH LP, played at almost every major Hungarian festival.
2016: March-May IAMHELL Co-Headline & festival tour. Supporting WEEDEATER in London at The Underworld Camden. First major headline tour in Hungary. Supporting DOPETHRONE at A38 Ship. 2017: Finished the writing of 'the III. LP titled HEX'. Releasing the first single 'SLAVES'. April: 'SLAVES' EU/UK Tour. Supporting BONGRIPPER & PRIMITVE MAN in The Underworld Camden, London. Releasing two more singles 'Death' and 'Black November'. 'HEX' released on the 11th of September, 2017.

Founded in 2005, Shapes of Distortion, the 5 man band has experienced many highs and lows over it's nearly seven years long history. After several member changes, two unofficial demo recordings, necessary breaks and hiatuses, exploring musical directions and club gigs, it was by 2010 that the band established their unique sounds and style.
The music is dark, and chaotic, but sometimes chaos is broke to bring peace, and conformity. We try to explore the different directions in which we can take modern metal. This leads to song structures that contain heavy metal elements and non-metal fragments as well.
Our goals are to make the best we can get out of this kind of music. We never wanted to conquer the world, just to reach the widest possible range of people who are susceptible of what we do.
In the last day of December 2011, our first EP, Beneath was released, with which we tried to deliver a comprehensive sample of our musical mind. It contains all that has been mentioned before, and a lot more. The self produced, and published 5 song pack is distributed free online or can be bought in a limited quantity.

2005 óta tartó, közel hét éves pályafutása során az öt fős Shapes o Distortion zenekar rengeteg változáson ment keresztül hogy elérje jelenlegi formáját. Jópár tagváltás, két nem hivatalos demo felvétel, pár szükségszerű szünet, különböző zenei irányzatok kipróbálása és számos klubkoncert után 2010-re alakult ki a zenekar sajátos hangzása, és zenei világa.
Ez a világ pedig sokszor sötét és kaotikus, azonban a káoszt néha megtöri a béke és az egységesség. Igyekszünk zenékkel kitapasztalni, milyen irányokba tudjuk előre vinni a modern metalt. Az eredmény súlyos, néha már-már death metalba hajló őrlések és darálások, valamint az ezeket ellensúlyozó lágyabb, hallgatóbarátabb, sokszor stílusidegen motívumok egyvelege.
A célunk az, hogy a lehető legtöbbet kihozzuk ebből a meglehetősen egyedi zenéből. Sohasem akartuk meghódítani a világot, csak elérni a lehető legtöbb, zenénk iránt fogékony embert.
2011 utolsó napján megjelent az első EP-nk Beneath címmel, ami átfogóan mutatja be elképzeléseinket. Az 5 számos korong ingyen letölthető és hallgatható online, illetve megvásárolható igen korlátozott példányszámban.
