Be Thou My Vision

Inspired by Todd Barton's 'Krell' patch for the Buchla 200e synthesizer, this is a recording of that patch on my system. It is self generating, so it will play endlessly without any input from the synth operator, but subtle changes to the settings during the recording lead to a seemingly endless sequence of notes, changes in timbre and rhythm. This recording also features the Ciat-Lombarde Cocoquantus, which is a cosmic looping machine.

It sure seems there's always malice in the palace. Either you’re in the palace causing malice or you’re trying to stop the malice. In both cases there's still malice in the palace. As subjects, we have to live with that malice, so get out and vote. And if voting doesn’t make a difference, get out there and storm the palace, but only for a cause I believe in, lol. 

I love roots reggae and am stuck in the period between '68 and '82. Don’t get me wrong, ska is great, and I lump rocksteady into my preferred period of reggae. And I am not saying I don’t appreciate later periods of reggae and dancehall. I did enjoy the 90s dancehall that often went along with golden era hip hop. But I will always like 70s roots reggae best. I must be old. 

Thanks SoundCloud friends for making roots reggae with me and helping me LARP my musical fantasies. You're all the best! May everyone live out their rock star dreams.

taken from my forth-coming mini-album the elements,i wrote this track
while traveling around the uk during the 2020 pandemic.
The stunning scenery and old English castles and coastline influenced me to write and as i looked out across the white cliffs and jurassic  coastline of the Dorset coast  ideas of the elements [being outside in storms and sunshine]came to me ..whatever happens to humanity we are  all governed by mother nature and we are equal to the other lifeforms and animals on the planet .

This a collaboration with the great TexMex Shaman. It has awesome guitars, 808 bass and spooky lyrics. Perfect for a Halloween 2020 release. I mixed and produced this one, even got to play some Les Paul, and TexMex Shaman added the unmistakable lead guitar. His solo/breakdown in the middle still gives me goose bumps! Enjoy!
