The show that gave rise to Simply Syndicated, Movies You Should See is at the heart of the network. This is no high-brow affair; it's what you get when a group of friends with different tastes in film gather in front of microphones to discuss, debate, dissect and devour movies for your delectation. 

From the gooey Ghost to the masterful Three Colours Trilogy, the crew leave no stone unturned across the genres and put each other through sometimes tough challenges. Disagreement, salty language and a heavy dose of irreverent humour might belie the passion for film and genuine pathos, but it's all there. 

Do Ask Do Tell is a weekly discussion show of all things LGBTQ. Initially presented by Ian Pope and Ari LW with a host of guests, the show has grown in 2013 to include Allison Downing and Richard Smith on the weekly roster. Do Ask Do Tell is deliberately presented by a group of people with diverse sexualities and gender identities to offer a fuller, more-rounded discussion of issues facing the LGBTQ community and the straight-world's response. With an ethos of social justice and unconditional equality, the show highlights current challenges and celebrates the good news in the move towards a more tolerant and equal society.

Richard and Allison's Super Happy Fun Time rose up from the ashes of Weekend Watches, morphing into a show for the Simply Syndicated community of listeners. We went live and opened the phone lines to connect with each other, share the things that have made the week great, and bring some fun to the weekend. It also showed that the community could support each other through life's challenges, and bring the most wonderfully diverse group of people together. 

Saturdays ain't the same without it, and the now legendary Christmas Eve Specials mark the beginning of the holidays for Synners everywhere. If Movies You Should See is the heart of Simply Syndicated, then SHaFT is its soul.

The group's name acts as a double backronym. As explained on the track Fighting on Soul Food, Goodie Mob means the GOOD DIE Mostly Over Bullshit.

Some Desert Island Discs programmes only exist in their incomplete form. They may be missing interview content or the musical choices. Where possible, the missing music has been rebuilt using discs from the BBC Gramophone Library. This collection comprises fragments from 1970-86.
