This is an original track that i have recently just wrote. I recorded it with the help of my Dad, Drew Campbell. Enjoy!

I know They know

Found this hidden away in my Poetry file on my Laptop...? It was recorded May 2011. I don't know what kind of music I was listening to at the time, but it must have prompted this jam as this style is a little different to my norm! I don' t usually record improvisations, but apparently I decided to on this day, so 'scuse the mistakes - but I was making it up as I went along!

Piece no.1

Needs a major polish but this was just improvised from the first two notes onwards so there are errors in timing and notes here and there. I really like it though and you can get the feel of it so...yah.

Voltage - Hope Dies Last

It's a few riffs I've had separately for a while now, so I decided to try and combine them and see what happens, and this is what happened!

It's very Arch Enemy-esque without ever meaning to be like that or aiming for it to be like that. The only similar track I can think of is We Will Rise by Arch Enemy, with a bit more speed, pace and intensity thrown in there.
A much more basic setup of instruments for this one, with no synths being used.

Bite The Hand That Takes

Restless is a combination of a few styles, to make something really heavy and crushing as well as melodic.

The only slight difference I've got here is a bass layered with a synth bass for added thickness in the mix which adds a lot to the heavy sound of this piece.

Restless

After a 12 - 18 month period of creative struggles, I'm finding my way back to writing music again. This is the first full track I've completed in 2 years. I love the sound of it, I like the simplicity of it, as well as some technical sections too. 
I recognise as well that this may not be my very best work, but it's something of a milestone for me, and one that I'm proud of.

I'm a Music and Music Technology teacher at Carlisle College Of The Arts, specialising in Production Techniques, MIDI sequencing, Guitar Skills, Programming, Composition and Arranging.

I will begin collaborating with vocalists in the near future, it's needed to happen for a long time, and finally, all the right pieces are starting to come together!!
