"Send in the Hero" is Shaun Mykal Walker's latest musical release. Shaun is a DIY musician who writes, performs, and engineers his own originals. His style is a blend of alternative rock instrumentation and soulful vocals he coined as Alternative Soul. "Send in the Hero" released to digital platforms May 1, 2020.

What sets Shawn apart from the crowd is his dedication to multi-instrumentation which includes drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and a light hint of synth/production.

It’s been the 15-year accumulation of writing and performance that led to his development as a solo artist. It has mutated his songs and created the sound he has today. His first band Aurous was nominated at the Inland Empire Music Awards for “Best Live Show” and “Best Indie CD”. Since then he had success in the group Walk The Rio who won the opportunity to play Warped Tour in Los Angeles via “Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands”.

This brings him to where he is today.

His first solo debut “Apex to Abyss” tells the 4-song story of a 3-year Australian stint of struggle and triumph. Since “Apex to Abyss”, he has released six singles all available for streaming.
