Blackfyah Productions, Inc. started as a concept that developed in 2007 by childhood friends Zaid A. Sewer and James H. Frett. These two St. John, USVI natives found their passion in music as they started out as steel pan players over a decade ago. They specialize in Hip-Hop, Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Dance Hall, and R&amp;B music and their influence comes from the work of artists such as the Neptunes, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Daddy Jones, Don Corleone, Stephen McGregor, JR Rotem, Quincy Jones, and <a href="http://Will.I.Am">Will.I.Am</a>.
In 2010, the company became official and is based in Atlanta, GA with steadfast intentions to work a variety of artists and travelling worldwide while becoming top engineers/producers in the business as they bring in a unique sound to the world of music.
During the company’s years of stabilizing, they have made many musical accomplishments with various songs such as “So Seductive” by B.V &amp; Drastic and “In De VI” by Jalena along with many other tracks that cannot be discussed due to legal obligations.
While this company grows, its goal is to become internationally renowned and to influence the world through sound. The company aspires to use their accomplishments as a motivation to passionate musicians and hope to one day found and maintain a youth outreach that inspires creativity and aspiration through music and art.
