I took that right of passage at one of Seattle's longest running house weeklies, Flammable. 
My crew Underscore Recordings was asked to do a takeover and we lit the stage with several ranges of classic house.

On the heels of eleven consecutive Beatport Top 10 releases, Seattle mainstay Uniting Souls Music is back, with a new album - the 2023 edition of their highly-anticipated Summer Soulstice label compilation series. 

Summer Soulstice 2023 Compilation consists of 14 new, original tracks, offering a little something for everyone, with music crossing genres from deep to funky, melodic, minimal, and tech. The release features seasoned veterans as well as inspired newcomers, including  the UK's Greenbay Jackers, Hamza Rahimtula from New Delhi, label residents Jordan Strong, Jon Lee, and D.Guti, and a solid roster of talented West Coast DJ/producers yearning to express their shared love of underground dance music.

Born and raised in the Seattle area and always surrounded by different types of music. My personal musical journey took me from 80s synth-pop, to early rap & hip-hop, metal, grunge, punk, and then industrial music, before finding house, techno, and the underground Seattle rave scene in the early 90s. After going to my first rave in 1993, I was absolutely hooked, started collecting vinyl, and bought my first set of Technics SL1200MK2 turntables and DJ mixer in 1995. 

Collecting vinyl and DJing led me to Platinum Records Seattle, an underground vinyl store,  where I worked from 2000 to late 2003, during a massive resurgence of rave culture in Seattle. During that time, I played multiple raves at old venues like NAF, Studio B, Club Insight, Club FX, and clubs/after-hours like Aero Space, Noc Noc, Liquid Lounge, Club Contour, etc. 

At the end of 2003 I starting working for Rane Corporation WA, a pro-audio/ DJ mixer company that was based in Mukilteo area from 1981 until the closing of the factory in 2016. While at Rane from 2003-2016, I worked as a Product Specialist, Technical Support, Product Clinician, Social Media Manager, Artist Relations, Beta Tester, Project Manager, and Product Design, and the designer of the infamous Rane MP2015 and Rane MP2014 rotary DJ mixers. 

Fast forward to today, I am still DJing, still raving, and now throwing underground parties in the Seattle area (ifykyk 😘). I'm a resident DJ for the Diffusion crew, Brit Jean Presents, and Blue Moon. I've been producing music under the name "Double Helix," a musical duo with my good friend Rob Ali, with two releases out (so far) on Deep Contour Music, and Seattle's own Uniting Souls Music!
