The FamiliaR IntercoursE of SocietY is a collaboration between Gish and Ilja Reijngoud. We've been friends for forever but never made music together. Me being in bands, playing guitar, viola, sing, write songs and recording at home. Ilja being a professional jazz trombone player. Our worlds seemed far apart. 

Then the idea came (thank you covid) that I write and record a song, sent it to Ilja, he does his instant magic, sent it back, mix it and there you have it, home brew pop songs with a jazz improvisation sauce on top. 
We prefer speed over perfection, no endless back and forth. Just write, record, mix with broad strokes and cherish what comes out. Worst nightmare is a producer taken over, get rid of all the imperfections, fly in the auto tune and make it digestible for the masses.

Always trying to squeeze all the ideas in a 3 minute song.
