This song is one of my first real featured-artist collaborations for me as a producer. My talented and wonderful daughter sang the lead vocal and helped me co-write the melody to better fit her performance style. As a producer, I like to include the vocalist's input to better serve the performance.

Well hello. Here’s some rustic Mountain Blues, played on extremely oxidized guitar strings, with me hollering from the mountain top. Hahahaha. The song hints at a personal authenticity, and the experience of possibly unraveling any prior conditioning (Pavlovian or otherwise) that may constrict our lives in some way. It’s also about the different personas we portray to the outside world. How we may act at work, or on a first date, or with our spouse, or kids, friends, enemies, those who hurt us, even our stage personas comes into play…. So this song is asking a lot of us. In other news, right now in June, the mountains are snow covered and it froze last night. That is late spring, early summer here. Gardenwise, this year, I am planting a lot more Brassicas: Kale, Cabbage and Broccoli, and they are growing well. I am going to try to fence off the carrot/beet beds, as the voles always eat more carrots and beets than I ever do. Onions, leeks and garlic have been growing since March. I transplanted 50 lettuce plants I grew from seed that I saved from last year’s lettuce. The berry bushes and fruit trees have really blossomed this year. There are squash, cukes, tomato and pepper plants inside by the window, to be transplanted outside next week, quite a mess… all of which keeps me busy…. Hahaha. I've posted this song twice before, so I should be done with it; I'm just not though. I keep developing the guitar (though it's all slight) and changing some lyrics. All about a lost friend; guess I'm not over it.

Seasons Make Sense -- Third Version

      Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by and listening! This song I wrote back in 2013 and it was just another love song with my favorite color in it for my wonderful wife! Can anyone guess what my favorite color is? Blue is correct! I've written many songs with the color blue in the title like: "Blue, Blue"; "Somewhere In Blue"; "Heavrnly In Blue"; "Big Blue Tree",  ect, ect, well it goes on and on. It's jazzy and easy listening and with NO A.I. can you dig it? I think the inspiration for this one was me asking my lovely wife why she is seldom in blue, or something like that. This is another of my jazzy love songs with a Latin rhythm to it. Charlie sang it beautifully. This song was written in the tradition of "The Great American Songbook". You know, like Gershwin, Berlin, Porter used to write. Very old fashioned but I remember I added a Sitar to it to give it that dreamy sound and I think I used heavy echo on Charlie's vocal at some point in the song too!

      The video I put together last year at some point in time but can't recall too much about it, just a beautiful woman in a beautiful blue dress. It drops tomorrow on YouTube, be there or be square! Not too much audio or video effects in this one.
