NATHASSIA (pronounced Natasha) is an ambassador for Multiculturalism and it all sprung from the incredible melting pot of cultures and music, deep-rooted in the South American country and former Dutch colony, Suriname. It is the most multicultural country in the world where all live together in harmony; hopefully a future prospect for the rest of the world to follow.

This song "Sweet Suriname" is dedicated to Nathassia's Father who recently passed away. Musical influences in this production are Amerindian, Creole, Javanese, Chinese, Hindustani.

NATHASSIA made music history by being the first music artist to perform live inside the Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Egypt, at the Nefertiti International Fashion Festival. NATHASSIA being half Dutch & half Indian, emanates a mesmerising quality. Her vocal style, music and live performances bring together both eastern and western cultures in spellbinding style.

si8hmosis is the Abenaki word for "Little Hawk", the name given to me at birth by my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I am the Hawk, my brother is the m8lsem, the Wolf, my cousin the Tolba, the turtle. 

We are of the Abenaki of Odanak. 

Today our reservations are Odanak and W8linak, they are in Canada and have a population between the two of about 700. Throughout New England and into Canada we have about 3,000 band members.

To those who feel the pain of being indigenous and the trauma that's come from colonization, please know you are not alone in this pain. There are many more out there who feel this and wish to find healing for our ancestors and to be the step forward that heals the pain our grandparents inherited and passed down to us. This EP is my step towards that. These are my personal issues and emotions released through music, with honor given to our heritage. In hopes to continue to build my platform so that I can share my stories, my families stories, the Abenaki stories, and to raise awareness about who we are and to shout that we are still here!

Sylphs is the result of a collaboration between Ullip and the exceptional guitarist Aki Riihimäki from Sweden. Ullips spherical soundscapes merge perfectly with Aki's virtuoso guitar playing. Music for the future for the now
What is SYLPHS about?
The music is like a storm, as it emerges from another piece of mine. Tormenta was the basis for this track, which I then completed with Aki Riihimäki the way I wanted it to be. The air spirits are depicted here in an impressive form, circling around you and lulling you to sleep. They let go and spread their mystical overall context. Aki found the right mixture of sensitive play and speed, which could not be better depicted in such a different way with air spirits. A really successful work.
