Real name Kreso is no starnger to his music being played on a the main stage, his diverse choice in music along with scratching, effects and absolute control with his crowd make him stand out from the average DJ. Yo, I’m Daniel Lazarus, spinning beats sharper than a crate-digger’s needle. My SoundCloud’s a sonic boom, built on a 25-year vinyl obsession that kicked off at the legendary Massive Records in Oxford—RIP to that sacred ground. I’ve been hunting rare tech house and breakbeat gems on Discogs ever since, stacking a collection so filthy it could make a turntable blush.
Relocated to Manchester in 2002—hands down the coolest city on the planet—and never looked back. I cut my teeth in the sweaty, bass-heavy chaos of Sankey’s Soap ‘til it shuttered, and before that, I was a Fabric faithful in London, worshipping at the altar of thumping 4/4s from day one. Learned to mix pre-YouTube, so yeah, my early sets were car-crash symphonies, but I honed my craft in Manchester’s dive bars and the occasional club, turning faders into fireworks.
Now? I’m holed up in my own studio, surrounded by classic analog drum machines, synths that hum like they’re alive, and a growing stash of DJ mixers that’d make gear nerds weep.
