“Owelle": frenchified word derived from the English expression “Oh well”. Repurposed by Valérie Siron as her pseudonym to reflect her work ethos: serious, but without making a fuss.

Surfacing from Geneva’s club culture with a graphic design background, Owelle’s drive to synergise the audio and the visual power her expression of creative identity. Her compositions are imagined and built without boundaries, albeit replete with nods to previous genres ranging from early 2000s breakbeat, braindance and broken beat techno.

Intrigued by sensory immersion, Owelle further laces her art with interactive tools including programming, sound spatialisation and installation. Diving into a spatiotemporal journey, subtly incorporating their uses into her musical works. By blending her passion for diligent sound designing, field recordings and psychedelic vocals is how Owelle presents her approach to experimental music. Owelle’s creativity offers an intrinsic connection of her tailored rhythms and melodies to birth an original hybrid of sound and visual art. 

The music within this record questions the importance of sound in relation to the individual’s environment. To blur the border between noise and aesthetically pleasing. To ride the waves between discomfort and delight and to find the potentially hidden role of situational awareness and relating it to musical endeavours derived from the emotions within.

Hailing from Russia ЯTRA has been shaping his own elektro sound for some
years now. For this “Liberation EP” he has crafted some of his darkest
and harshest tracks. The sounds on this EP are bordering elektro,
industrial, minimal electronics, techno and acid. Despite all of this it
makes up for very coherent tunes which are distinctive and at the same
time have enough angles to be picked up by both electro(nic) music
lovers and club minded dj’s.

With the “Liberation EP” ЯTRA has created a perfect soundtrack for these
times of upheaval. Peace is not good enough as peace is most of the time
imposed by the stronger party. Therefor we should fight for liberation.
Liberation of people, of regions, of cultures, of animals, of nature, of
lives and of minds. No better way to do this as supported by fitting
music. This EP is just that.

Dark Entries celebrates its 15th anniversary with legendary synth-punk deviants Crash Course in Science. Dale Feliciello, Mallory Yago, and Michael Zodorozny formed CCIS in 1979 after meeting at art school in Philadelphia. As a gesture born of equal parts punk irreverence and brute necessity, the band incorporated toy instruments and kitchen appliances into their aggressive, angular sound. Their anthems “Cardboard Lamb” and “Flying Turns” from 1981’s Signals From Pier Thirteen EP have been staples in adventurous DJ sets for over 40 years - yet some of their finest work is to be found on Near Marineland, a full-length LP recorded in 1981 but remained unreleased in its time. Near Marineland shows the band moving into more diverse and polished territory (although it’s still as abrasive as sandpaper). Tracks like “No More Hollow Doors” and “Jump Over Barrels” highlight CCIS’s singular knack for embedding infectiously monotone hooks in their stiff-yet-funky grooves. Elsewhere we see CCIS going fully unhinged, like on the searing “Someone Reads” or the demented “Pompeii Spared”, where a spray of honks is barely glued together by a frantic synthetic pulse. While this masterwork of malfunctioning analog electronics has surfaced on a few occasions - this first time stand alone remaster includes four never-before-released bonus tracks and includes a lyric sheet. Near Marineland is crucial listening for all devotees of synth-punk and minimal electronics.

WLDV starts its activity in 2012 DJing and creating music based on synthesizers and inspired by the electronic music of the 70s, 80s and early 90s like Italo Disco, EBM, New Beat, Techno… with clear influences of the B movies, sci-fi, horror and fetish stuff.

He released vinyl and cassettes on labels such as Giallo Disco, Bordello A Parigi, Waste Editions, Violette Szabo, Soil Records, Eclectic Reactions, Cold Beats, Fill Lex Records, Infidel bodies, The Hiddens, Patch Records, 4mg Records, Italo Moderni… And many more. 
He also played several live and dj set performances around Europe and North America.

WLDV hosted and played as resident at the Vocoder Club parties from 2014 to 2019 and drives also the label Eclectic Reactions since 2014 together with Radithor.

Malte Schumann, or Caldera as he's known to us, is a producer with a knack for innovation. His music consistently feels fresh, unexpected, and engaging. Oddball in the best way. From Kimochi Sound and Nummer to Bokhari Records and Flippen Disks, Caldera brings a fresh perspective to whatever electronic subgenre he tackles.

His latest offering, the "Triangular Passage" EP on Melifera Records, is no exception. Inspired by his set and visit to La Vallée Électrique Festival in 2023, this genre-fluid project takes us into the darker corners of electronic music, drawing influence from the natural world and its sounds.
Our premiere today, "Ascending Through Leaves," straddles the line between halftime and low-slung techno, a territory we at Delayed are always happy to explore. The track conjures a murky, fluid atmosphere, like walking through a dense forest at dawn. Caldera's studio expertise shines through here, with truly impressive sound design.

The "Triangular Passage" EP features three original tracks and a remix by LOIF and will be released on Melifera Records on May 12th.
