We're excited to welcome Ebony to the soundcast series ahead of her performance at SixthSense on September 23 alongside Perfect Stranger, Yuli Fershtat and Maksim Dark.

Ebony is an absolute gun. Playing far and wide throughout Australia, she's delving further and further into the psychedelic realms with her productions and DJ sets and we are all about it. We recently saw her play at Orin Aya Festival and she absolutely slayed. One. To. Watch.

Had the pleasure of playing a Sunday afternoon "golden hour" set on the main stage at this year's Mushroom Valley Festival (2023).. Big thanks to Ben Irving and the rest of the MV crew for the incredible hospitality, and for putting on one of the best Aussie festivals I've been to thus far.. 

This set is very Digital Structuresque.. As some may (or may not) know, I've been co-managing DS alongside Yuli Fershtat, which is a dream come true for me.. Lots of unreleased material that's coming out soon on DS, a few to be released goodies from my peers in the psychedelic music industry and some good old Digital Structures classics.. (More news on the Digital Structures x Jedidiah front coming to you soon...) 

Couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the dirty 30s.. Hope you dig the set :)

We're thrilled to welcome the psytech queen of Norway, Safira, to the SixthSense stables, officially. We properly connected with Safira in 2022, when SixthSense alongside Stone Seed performed for her at her elite Norwegian techno parties. Her brand "Extra Delicious" hosts a plethora of the biggest names in the psychedelic culture. Not only that, she has just launched her new imprint Monstera Deliciosa with a collaborative VA on Alpaka Muzik.

Safira returns to Australia this Summer for another tour down under, and we can't wait to invite her back.

Insights:
This re-recording is a condensed 3-hour version including 44 tracks. The original set was 5 hours with a whopping 72 tracks.

Vibe: groove, rolling, driving, psychedelic, hypnotic, dark, hard groove  

Things start to heat up around 45 minutes. Throughout the set, I dip in and out of a range of lighter, deeper and darker energies. I conclude the mix with a soothing Martin Nonstatic track for a smooth landing.

Extended Blurb:

I’m excited to share a re-recording of my debut set inside Sisyphos’s ‘Hammahalle’. For those who aren’t already aware, Hammahalle is the main room inside Berlin’s Sisyphos nightclub. I played a 5-hour closing set, 1 am - 6 am Monday 14.08.2023. Not only is this the fastest techno set I have ever played at an event, but intermittently I snuck in some of my dark progressive/psytrance library taking risks I had not anticipated I would. 

This opportunity has been a dream of mine, a huge milestone in my DJ career, and a step forward in developing as an artist. Big up and gratitude to my techno family and co. (Stone Seed and Sixth Sense) for including me in the Aussie takeover. The other Australian artists included in the takeover included: Axon, Tom Baker, Jedidiah, and ZigMon.

If you feel so inclined to support and repost the set, I would be very grateful. Final thanks to Sisyphos and the hosts inside this space, I hope to return in 2024 <3

Recrudescence of the Heart - Shepz (Tech Mix)

Shepz is a Techno & Minimal producer + DJ in Sydney, Australia. He has achieved success on Beatport with two Top 10 best sellers to his name. "Go Away," his debut release, peaked at #10 on the Beatport charts in 2008. Additionally, his 2013 EP, "11th Hour EP," reached an impressive #6 on the global Beatport minimal release charts.

His sound is self-described as "a mixture of influences from psychedelic through to creepy dark minimal techno, with a focus towards diatonic modal use of intelligent musical scales"; and is now a firm fixture on Australia's Psychedelic Bush Techno scene.
 
On the DJ front Shepz has been fortunate to play at a number of the clubs of London (Egg, Pacha, Ministry of Sound, Corsica Studios, Cafe 1001, 54, Aquarium, Raduno etc.); Europe including Serbia alongside Exit Festival and a number of festivals in Australia (Subsonic Music Festival, Psyfari, Dragon Dreaming, WI3RD, Peats Ridge Music Festival, The Kibbutz). Shepz is also the mastermind behind a series of popular parties in Sydney called "Church of Techno" which are a regular and well-known fixture of the Sydney underground techno scene for over 13+ years. Along with co-founding the popular weekly La Famiglia parties in Sydney from 2013-2014.
 
Some of the acts he has supported include the most successful and respected in the industry such as Max Cooper, Boris Brejcha, Jay Lumen, Maksim Dark, NoNameLeft, Luis M, Matan Caspi, Jerome Sydenham, Meat Katie, Tiefschwarz, Fergie, Oliver Huntemann, Perc, Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Luis Hill, Marcus Worgull, Jacob Korn, Dirty Doering, Rampa, George Delkos, Deep Child, Manik, Truncate, Bigger Than Jesus, Audiojack, James What, Ahmet Sendil, Kazu Kimura, Chris Fortier, Shonky, Timo Garcia, Oliver Dahl, Shane Watcha, Saytek and Cozzy D.
