The 3rd episode of my yearly mixtape is here. This is CONTRAST Yearmix 2021, a collection of handpicked records that have touched me deeply.

On the dancefloor, people know me from my energetic and exhilarating techno. But through these tapes, I'd specifically like to show the character in the background. This Yearmix is about the Contrast in my life, between appearance and my alter ego. Between the peak and the fall, the happy and the sad, the calm and the anxious. After all, life is about balancing and compensating, right?

CONTRAST Yearmix 2022

People who know me, know me from my energetic and uplifting techno. What many do not know is that there is a second character in the background too. This is a genre that I love just as much as techno. Maybe even more. Since the beginning of this year, from Monday to Friday, I became a boring employee at the office and that represents the second me. My other side. I became a big fan of the contrast where during the week it's all about the focus and fit life, and the weekend is about being who I want to be. Behind the DJ booth playing exhilarating techno.

I wanted to show you the contrast in my life through music and therefore made this mixtape. This is the music that I listen to during the week and the music that I play when I’m alone or have some emotion on my mind that demands my attention. This music tells me a story I can not describe with words. I hope it touches you as deeply as it touches me.

After the appreciation of 2019's Yearmix, I decided to add this to my yearly routine. So here's CONTRAST Yearmix 2020, a collection of handpicked records that have touched me deeply.

On the dancefloor people know me from my energetic and exhilarating techno. But what many don't know is that there is a second character in the background too. I always find it difficult to express my feelings with words and I rarely manage to talk about them. But, what I am good at, is telling the emotional rollercoaster (called life) through music. This Yearmix is about the Contrast in my life between the appearance and my alter ego. Between the peak and the fall, the up and the down, the happy and the sad, the calm and the anxious. After all, life is about balancing and compensating, right?
