Mohamed Mounir Story
Mohamed Mounir Mohamed Aba Yazid Gebril Metwaly was born in "Mansheyet El Noba", Aswan on the 10th of October 1951. 

He spent his childhood and his Youth in Aswan then he moved to Cairo after completing his High School and then he joined the Applied Arts college in the Cinematography Department. 

Mohamed Mounir loved singing since his childhood and he attended all the festivals and musical concerts in his hometown. He listened to many to great legends like Abd-Elhalim Hafez, Om Kalthoum And Abd-Elwahab and many more who inspired his musical career.

ولد محمد منير محمد أبا يزيد جبريل متولى فى منشية النوبة بمدينة أسوان فى 10 أكتوبر 1951، وقضى فترة طفولته وصباه فى مدينة أسوان وبعد حصوله على الثانوية العامة هاجر إلى العاصمة (القاهرة) وإلتحق بكلية الفنون التطبيقية قسم التصوير السينمائى ، كان منير منذ طفولته يعشق الغناء وكان يتواجد فى كل مناسبات بلدته ليستمع إلى المطربين الذين نسجوا أولى خيوط ثقافته الموسيقية وهم مطربين النوبة ، وتكون لديه مخزون فنى رائع به خليط من الفن النوبى الذى تربى عليه والفن القاهرى الذى تابعه من خلال الإذاعة والتليفزيون عن طريق أصوات مثل عبد الحليم وأم كلثوم و عبد الوهاب و غيرهم.


Toronto artist Truss is a master of versatility- a singer, rapper, writer, producer, and audio engineer all rolled into one.

In 2021, Truss composed original music for Award-winning TV series “Sort Of”. This experience paved the way for other collaborative songwriting opportunities, including landing a sync on Director X’s critically acclaimed TV series “Robyn Hood”. Truss also had his song selected to be the festival theme song for The 34th Annual Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival “Inside Out”. 

Truss has performed across Canada and South America, as well as Europe. Truss draws his inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo, J Dilla, Pharrell, Timbaland, and most recently producers such as Monte Booker, Conductor Williams, and emil.

With all of these accolades under his belt, Truss is finally ready for his solo debut to the forefront with the release of his EP "All We Ask Is Truss" on all streaming platforms.
