Our ninth podcast and final offering of 2021 comes from Sherman C who runs Selector Records & Apparel, Seattle’s only vinyl record shop focused on electronic music. After moving back to Seattle from Hawaii, Sherman’s been sharing positive vibes through his appreciation of vinyl culture, support for local record labels at his store, and delighting listeners with the exquisite taste/mixing you’re about to hear in this podcast. With a recent vinyl EP on Wex (Telomere 003), Sherman marks yet another contribution to the Seattle scene. Oh yeah, and happy birthday, Sherman!

The opening set at Tropical Oasis Retreat Kauai was a very special one from Sherman.  Definitely check this out as an example of a great way to open up an outdoor event in the morning light.  Plus he went on to win the DJ/Dancer award for dancing to almost all the sets that followed :)

Sherman @ Rockstarz Hawaii

Happy New Year everyone! This month we welcome Sherman Crawford to the Wulfcast Mix Series. Sherman is a vinyl jockey and plays mostly vinyl whenever he plays. 

Sherman Crawford was born and raised in Seattle, WA. Part of the early rave scene in Seattle since 1992, he started collecting and mixing records in ’94. He currently still plays records collected from around the globe and he is very passionate about obscure, underground grooves, constantly pushing the envelope away from the typical sounds normally heard. 

This mix was recorded on Sherman’s birthday, Dec. 24th 2018 live almost entirely on vinyl. The first few tracks were planned out, then things just unfolded by themselves. Sneaking in a few unreleased personal tracks in the mix in between lots of techy, minimal records. Towards the end, after misplacing a record, Sherman then turned to the new Max Graef album on Tartelet Records, taking things down into dungeon bass territory. Max’s new album really pushes the boundaries, and Sherman is proud of him and is happy to share these new sounds with you. Enjoy this deeper mix…
