After the most infuriatingly stressful day at work this piece of music came to me when I sat down at the piano - and I realised that letting work stress me out and make me all grumpy was really just major melodrama on my part - hence the title of the piece.

Like a Swan

This set of SWWs was written in memory of a wonderful singer, teacher and friend, Diana Walkley. Here, significant reference is made to Elgar's Music Makers - a score of great insight, I now understand, into a lonely composer: a true 'dreamer of dreams'
