Bringing house/minimal/techno artists, the likes of Ion Ludwig, Dyed Soundorom, Mihai Popoviciu, Suciu and Praslea, to the city for the first time. Now residing in St Petersburg, US.

DJ Professor Ben (aka djproben)
Professor Ben has been mixing tracks for many years, playing parties and venues in southern California including The Viper Room, Cat Club, the Gig, the Blu Monkey, and the Troubadour. He cut his teeth on college radio, with shows on WNUR (Evanston, Illinois) and KRUI (Iowa City), and had his first club residency at Lucky Number in Chicago in the late 1980s. Since 2020 he has been performing somewhat regularly on Twitch. Combining DJ culture with punk rock attitude, Professor Ben is known for his unique style combining elements of modern urban dance music, including house, techno, dubstep, and drum and bass, with funk, jazz, lounge and swing. Djproben moonlights as an actual professor, and he coedited the book DJ Culture in the Mix, published by Bloomsbury.

The Void

Sherpa Slim is a versatile sound artist, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles.  Her mixes are curated with the intention of getting you out of your head and into your soul.  With a genre-fluid style, she blends a mix of deep healing sounds and mantras mixed with progressive, melodic, and tribal builds that take you on a dynamic, introspective journey.  Expect the unexpected as Sherpa is always pushing the limits and bending the rules.  For Sherpa, music is medicine and her main goal is to generate the feeling of love within and around you while putting you in a deep, meditative trance.  


Sherpa Slim has spent the past 10+ years designing and composing sound and music for theatre, film, and other mediums including podcasts and art installations. She brings those skills to the decks by layering different melodies, vocals, singing bowls and loops seamlessly that will have you wondering when the transitions even took place.  She draws on her background in storytelling and merges it with her affinity for deep grooves to create a full experience with each set.  


Sherpa has been seen floating vibes around at venues like Station1640, Catch One, Wisdome, Rouse Yoga's Inward Fest, Art Bar, SADE and Social Desert Camp. You can catch Sherpa Slim live with her monthly residency at Pattern Bar with her collective: Internet Sensations LA, and on twitch as a resident with the awe-inspiring Femme House Community.
