Introducing the second edition of the edit pack series by Gothenburg (SE) based label Paley Recordings. PLE002 is a collaborative effort between founders Hugo Nyreau and Karl F Eugen and four select, incredibly talented DJs and producers from Gothenburg and Malmö(SE).

Rising star DJ Seduce opens up the project with a bang, a jungle rendition of the all time classic Missy Elliot track. A peak-time must-have track for all DJs from the very in demand, Malmö based breakbeat Queen DJ Seduce! Nyreau brings a club-ready baltimore club take of the great and late Christian Falk's magnum opus, "Make It Right". Syrian-born, Gothenburg-based DJ and producer Mavi Blue brings some international flavor to the release in the form of a moody electro/afrobeat-inspired rendition of the arabic pop hit "Sabri Aalil", released in 2003 by Egyptian singer Sherine. From Egypt straight to Ladbroke Grove we find ourselves with French-born, Gothenburg based DJ and producer Gris Pale that supplies us with a swingy UK-Garage edit of AJ Tracy's "Champions League". On track number 5 we find label co-founder KFE with a tasteful, groove-heavy, Baltimore inspired rendition of Jhené Aiko's "The Worst", turning it to "The Best". Ending the release with a bang, Pipanav wreaks havoc with this intense DnB take of the viral track Big Dawgs, we can already hear the finger guns and CDJ-dragbacks on this one!

A rising luminary in the Southern electronic scene, DJ/producer Qemist returns to Moveltraxx with The New Juke Tape, a genre-blurring EP that channels the frenetic energy of Chicago footwork while grounding it in the grit, swing, and soul of Memphis music. The result is a forward-thinking club record equally rooted in tradition and primed for underground dance floors featuring collaborations with Chicago footwork legend DJ Manny and Memphis singer Marcella Simien.

With a background spanning techno, jungle and heavy-hitting club experiments, Qemist has built a reputation as one of the South’s most exciting new electronic voices, lighting up stages from SXSW and Deep Tropics to D.C.’s Black Techno Matters. His productions have also landed on the Bay Area’s No Bias imprint and in Moveltraxx’s iconic Street Bangers Factory series.
