After a 7-year hiatus, Mauritian techno producer Mutecell is back in action with his first full-length LP, ONAC!D. Releasing on his brainchild, Mutewax, the album fuses Mutecell’s trademark style, greatly inspired by Berlin, with nostalgic memories related to the Mauritian club scene.Although Mutecell’s soundscapes are usually driven by a mixture of analog sounds and repetitive robotic rhythms in the golden 130-140BPM range, he does not limit himself to 4/4 peak time bangers and showcases his range through tracks like the slow-burn breakbeat track “Gris Gris”, the rhythmically syncopated “Orion’s Fear” as well as dub-sounding harmonics on the closer, “Kas Poz”. Rest assured as the album is still filled from front to back with what Mutecell does best: dark hypnotic slappers.

Mutecell reminisces his path through the Mauritian scene by naming the songs after emblems of the local culture such as names of iconic nightclubs
and venues. This represents the crux of the album: the symbiosis of Berlin techno and Mauritian club culture is the identity of this producer.

Parisian artist Marie Lefur, known under her monikers DJ Super Jackpot and MLF, has quite some releases under her belt. While her DJ Super Jackpot monikers represents Marie's more trancey side - including releases on Community Center or Mycelium Shroom Syndicate, Marie's housey influence fully shines when she turns on those hardware machines to create an MLF-track. Latter was the case when she worked on her Fell In Love In A Club EP for Folamour's label House Of Love. With the title track being out for a moment, the full EP now sees the light of day and includes two more original tracks, namely Creating Chaos and Be Proud Of Who U Are. With Be Proud Of Who U Are delivers a late night tale of electronic music, more precisely the track brings together electronica elements and House Music with deep(er) chords, which culminate in a piano-line. This twist as well as the resulting incorporation of elements accompany the listener until the end and into the night.

I was there as a visitor and the title was stylistically exactly my thing, as if it were mine (which, according to this knowledge, it actually is in the end) - even if “I” actually prefer to make the audience dance myself --> The title made me want to dance...

My stage name or pseudonym is “Funk le Prince” (producer & DJ) and I want to make a difference in the scene - namely, get my publicity dancing.
-> That's why I'm also writing this message as a message to the outside.

However, the following can no longer be explained rationally:

I've tried to recreate the same vibe and energy that made that night so special. This mix is part of my ETHERIC VOYAGES series, which I've been eager to continue despite life's many interruptions. I got into DJing because of Yourshot. I participated in 2023 and won the competition. It was an amazing experience. The organisation provides a great opportunity to connect with people who are passionate about music and do what they do just for the love of music. 

My musical journey kicked off at 16, diving into EDM through India's underground rave scene. Psytrance grabbed me tight and hasn't let go since.

Fast forward seven years, and I walked into the Melbourne's techno scene (Thanks to my partner to getting me into it). The tunes, the people, the whole vibe – it just clicked.

Now, I'm all about spreading the word on Melodic Techno. Whether I'm Blasting it in my headphones, mixing tracks, or boogie on the dance floor, it's all about those good vibes.
