Very few electronic music artists can boast of spanning a wide musical spectrum as the UK producer Calum Lee aka Paleman / Fresnel Lens.Always emphasizing the percussive side (advantage of being a jazz drummer), and always with an innovative spirit, the releases of this authentic sound designer oscillate between the most abstract / experimental electronica and minimalist club focused techno, from atmospheric and introspective works to the sickest dubstep / bass music.

As at 30D we declare ourselves absolute fans of Calum’s music, we had a clear obligation to ask him to join our catalogue, specifically for the EyesHave It sub-label (we had especial interest in his interpretation of broken, dark and industrial techno). His answer was direct and unmistakable:”I’ve sent you a lot of pieces that fit with your label vision and the imagery that we love.. I’ve been studying existentialism a lot recently, so these tunes are a reflection of my headspace at the moment!”. A true declaration of intent!

And here it is, five perfect examples of obsessive tribal madness, overexciting synthetic broken beats and a lot of rawness. A pure musical gem.

The Femme Bass Mafia member brings eclectic and high-energy vibes to the floor. Finding inspiration and connection with music since childhood, the German-Vietnamese artist has built a bass-heavy style with a fusion of club sounds – from electro, dubstep, drum and bass, jungle, and juke to hard drums, global bass, and jersey club. HIỀN ĐIÊN fuses these with diverse ribbons of other influences. Polyrhythms come into play, leading the mind down unexpected paths and bridging deeper connections between audience and music. Particularly inspired by Southeast Asia’s underground Nhạc Gẫy music, a HIỀN ĐIÊN set is always deeply imbued with personality and full of surprises.

When you follow the call for a «Trip for The Lonely Hearted», an event series changing locations among polish clubs, it's not the silent type of contemplation you're getting. Virtual Geisha, the Kraków-based promoter who drops those trips, likes to take the rather weird and eerie path. She is also the booking manager of Święta Krowa (Holy Cow), a little underground club for music lovers and and enthusiasts. Her sets happen and sound spontaneous as they take twists and turns in the heat of the moment. We like her style and dedication, the artists she hosts (Wosto, LCN, Fallbeil, Cute Heels...) and thus are very happy to receive her contribution.
