Confessions

Beginning with a somewhat calm intro, 'Confessions' eases you in, taking you through a reverberant first 32. The second 16 sees the introduction of some percussion, adding a further dimension before we hear the riser begin to prepare us for the drop. And what a drop! This one comes out of nowhere with some killer high end stuttering bass that'll have you both nodding and shaking your head whilst sporting the most serious of bassfaces. Another 32 in sees the switch up, chopping up the bass in such a way you cannot help but move your body along with it! Dub Justice delivers hard with this one! Outstanding production quuality from this brand new artist to the scene! A killer track for any rave with many a dj supporting this one.

Eazy ft Traumatik MC - Evil Entities (Jayline Remix)

The second of our two Evil Entities remixes comes from none other than Soundbully audio bossman Jayline. After featuring massive tracks from his collection throughout our 2013 calendar we decided to get him on board for this remix ep. Giving an alternative to the Limited rework, this one in typical Jayline fashion decimates the dance with non stop high energy levels and both high and low ends dominating across the track. 32 bars to build towards the destruction that is a Jayline drop, and as usual the dnb pioneer does nothing but impress. So whether you want a calm build or an all out crazy stomper, this ep has a flavour for everyone.

Kicking things off a little differently for 2014, the first of two re-works of Eazy's Evil Entities comes to us from none other than DJ Limited, with his own unique take on one of Shiftin Beatz biggest hits of 2013. This one eases us in, with a calm hip hop-esque intro, accompanied by little more than a few digital style effects and the melodic presence of Traumatik spraying them political bars that we know him oh so well for. Taking us deep into the track before a final build towards a hype crazy drop that you the listener has come to expect from a Shiftin Beatz track. High and low ends galore with plenty of digital electro style sounds taking you back and forth throughout the track, this ones for the true jump up raver, energy levels high guaranteeing this one tears up the dance wherever its thrown down!

Eazy - Parasites (Lyptikal Remix)

The second of Eazy's tracks to be remixed for the EP is the massive 'Parasites' which originaly featured on the Shiftin Beatz All Starz EP back in August 2013. This time round sees Lyptikal taking the reigns for his own take on the jump up anthem. Turning a dramatic intro into something even more dark and daunting, building together with them familiar tones of Traumatik. Kicking in 8 bars before the drop with a domineering melody letting us know exactly what we're in for. A massive stomper of a track which'll have you throwing yourself aswell as others all over the shop! The anthem has just become even more anthemic! If this is how Lyptikal is kicking off 2014 we can't wait to see what else the guy has in store! An essential for any jump up dj's bag.

Last but by definitely no means least sees Eazy rework what was probably one of his biggest tracks to date. The anthem that is 'Typical Murderers' has been doing the rounds ever since it burst onto the scene, decimating stages across the UK and beyond. So you'd be forgiven for thinking it couldn't get any better. However Eazy shows us again why his name is fast growing and on the tips of everyones tongues with an absolute stonker of a remix! This one has been recieving support from some of the biggest names in the game all across the globe in recent months! Instant rewind material which has fans going crazy the minute it drops! Moshpit material at its finest! This one will be recieving support for many months to come.

Eazy - Gun Driller (2014 VIP)
Not wanting to miss out on the action, Eazy decided that as well as get some boys in for the job, he'd also like to work his magic over a couple of his own works for some VIP business! First off sees the already huge 'Gun Driller' getting stripped down and reworked to make it that little bit harder.  Incorporating them same samples from famous British cinema he builds us up leading us to believe we know what we're in for, but when the drop hits us we soon see, this is by no means the same track from back when Shiftin Beatz dropped their first ever release last yea, this is a much more aggressive, steppy and downright dominant piece of production. Absolutely destroys any dancefloor it touches. If you've heard this one out then you know! Eazy showing us yet again why he is becoming a force to be reckoned with within the world of jump up drum and bass.

Eazy - Business (Limited Remix)

Not being satisfied with just the one, Limited decided to get his teeth into another massive Eazy anthem from 2013. This time round sees him tackle the huge 'Business' which when it dropped on Eazy's Telekinetic Frequencies EP back in October caused massive ripples throughout the jump up scene. So that being said, how does Limited fair on remix duties? Well just as he did with Evil Entities he does not disappoint. Keeping with the original dominant style intro all the way up to the sample and drop, then unleashing a fury of sounds to have you throwing shapes and stomping your feet throughout the dance. We wanted to assure that these reworks have all the attributes to make an anthem even greater, and Limited, as all the others does not disappoint with what he brings to the table. This along with every other track on the EP is receiving massive support throughout the world of jump up drum and bass. And we ain't even finished yet!

I have been working on those tracks after my To The Threshold Album, some of the tunes was in the process already while i did the previous album. You can expect from this release hard Drum & Bass tunes, again i have been trying to do my best on all of those tunes! And possibly best sounding as i can, as sometimes it was not easy at all to do the right sound. I added on this release also one more experimental kind of Drum & Bass, 4/4 track, would not say its a Crossbreed one, then Electro remix from my side project Pornothrasher, as i enjoy to do Electro too as many of you know. I asked MC Coppa to record for me vocals for the track that is on the EP, and need to say im really happy with the result, not the heaviest DNB track, but rolls really good and hard enough to kick your ass! The Rest is my solo i would say pure Hard Drum & Bass tracks, how i like to produce and to play! I hope you enjoy this release, again i tested it at gigs, and the tunes just went greatly, some of them some of you asked on the net already. Thank you so much, and buy the vinyl to keep them alive. release date should be end of October, 4 tunes on vinyl and 4 tunes as digital extra bonus tracks - if you buy the vinyl EP you get with it unique code where you can download the digital release of FSRECS 008 with the extra 4 digital only tracks, two weeks as usual the tunes on digital shops.

We at Shiftin Beatz are proud to present our fourth release which sees none other than sister label Soundbully Audio bossman Jayline bringing two massive tracks to the table which only further display why his name is on the tip of peoples tongues everywhere.
Starting off with an almost eerie like intro with the simplest of touches placed along the way, you can just make out the sounds of some sort of battle going on in the background, lazer like sounds dashing back and forth capturing your attention before a loud foghorn-esque sound bellows itself across the track complete with the cries of an injured fighter thrown in leaving you wondering just whats in store at the other end. Ultimately there could only be one outcome! The aptly placed 'attack' can only slightly prepare you for whats to follow. This one will have you stepping and shuffling back and forth to the beat with them drums that hit you in the chest and that typical Jayline bass that has every raver jumping and moving in their own unique way. Aggresive, hard hitting and will definitely leave an impact on any dance. And theres more..
Stepping up with all the right ingredients, Jayline constructs an intro that transports you back to a day of mono ringtones on mobile phones and platform games on retro consoles. Feel yourself get taken back to the amusement arcade as a child with the slot machines playing their funky tunes before the firm drums kick in and combine to build you up climaxing with an insane drop that pulls you in and will have you turning to your fellow raver with that screwface of appreciation on full display, but then this is the kind of rowdiness that we know only too well to expect from the talented producer. Hard drums and a bassline full of all them signiature sounds that set him apart from the rest make this yet another killer combo to add to the long list of previous behind him. Shiftin Beatz Bio 

Based in Essex. Shiftin Beatz Records was formed back in 2013 by DJ AK and DJ Digibit as a joint partnership to source fresh new talent within the underground Drum and Bass industry and to promote their passion for underground music. 

Fast forward to 2017 and the label has had a slight 'shift' in its management with Co-founder Digibit leaving the label to devote his time to being a full time father. AK has since been joined by two new partners (and close friends) in Crabby and Crakey who have brought their passion for bass heavy music to the label. 

Shiftin Beatz has accumulated a mass of talent from producers, DJ’s and MC’s. Among the ever growing list of artist’s that have released on Shiftin Beatz are Eazy, Jayline, Complex, Hedex, Premium, DJ Limited, Dub Justice, Stompz, BeNNs, M.A.M.F Lyptikal, Jaxx, Sub Killaz, Simskai, Kezman, Silent Storm, Jack the Ripper, Disjointed Textures, Divided, Hives, Simskai, Skripta, Fraksure, Ironlung, Enta and many more. 

The label has historically focused on what’s new in the scene by keeping the music fresh and diverse with its wide variety of Jump-Up Drum and Bass. The love that AK, Crabby and Crakey have for the full spectrum of DnB is now reflected in the ongoing 'Shift'd Series' which was launched as an outlet to push and promote new artists to the scene that don't make the jump up music the label is known for but the team firmly believe should be getting showcased. So far this series has released vastly different music ranging from neuro/ tech to rolling jungle to lush liquid as well as high energy dance floor drum n bass.

In 2017 it's helped push names like K-i, Martyn nytraM, Critical Matter and Projekt into a wider audience and destroy dancefloor the world over with a variety of fresh forward thinking music. Aside from AK, Crabby and Crakey, Shiftin Beatz also has a very tight knit extended family of live DJs and MCs who work behind the scenes with promotion, mixes, artwork, press releases and much more. 

To date the live roster family includes members: - DJ Blazer, DJ Vex, DJ Harbz, MC YT, MC Kee-lo and MC Kruze. Within this extended family you also have MC Agzzy, MC Nabsi and MC Iffy who alongside Crabby and Crakey make up the high energy Elevated Sounds team. The DJ and MC artists roster have also been responsible for causing rave riots and wrecking rigs for high profile events and clubs on a world wide scale including booking for Rough Tempo, Let It Roll, SW4, Ram, Jungle Mania, Breakin Science, Next Hype, Invaderz, Innovation, Bpm, Ministry of Sound, Soul R, Audio Assault, Get Hype and many many more. Aside from live bookings, the Shiftin Beatz family can also be found representing the label on their own residency slots at Rough Tempo Radio with DJ AK's bi-weekly Shiftin Beatz show and Crabby and Crakey's Weekly Elevated Sounds. Both shows have seen multiple members of the live team team make guest appearances whilst also having artists releasing on the label guesting on their shows too Since 2013 Shiftin Beatz Records has become firmly established within the underground Drum and Bass scene and it is continually testing some of the bigger labels with their focus on finding new and original music regardless of sub-genre. Growth and promotion of their artist’s portfolio is key to Shiftin Beatz and it is clear that the standard is high, there is no imitating, just originating. 

The cogs keep turning in the Shiftin Beatz wheel and the label continues to keep its eyes on the underground.
