I've been searching for awhile trying to find a beam of light.
I've been crashing going nowhere - think I'll take this out to sea.
When a final wave comes crashing let it crash right over me.

When the creatures come a knockin', will they give me to breathe?
Will they cover up my eyesight, will they put me on my knees?
We all know I tend to worry. These are notions that arise.
These are ways I've gone on coping with a temperamental life.
