Shika Shika Collective is proud to present “De aquí hasta aquí”, the debut album by percussionist and producer Federico Estévez.

You may know Fede as the drummer and percussionist for Chancha Vía Circuito´s live band, having made a reputation around the world for his rhythmic virtuosity and trademark broken beats.

Following “Hologramas” the captivating opening track on Shika Shika’s “Mare Insularum” compilation, “De aquí hasta aquí” is Fede’s first full-length release. On it he shares with us his complex, poly-rhythmic universe through nine tracks uniting his own South American origins, with African rhythms and featuring collaborations with Rodrigo Gallardo, Pablo Paz, Wen, Manu Quintans, Klik & Frik and Chancha vía Circuito.

“Federico Estévez is one of Buenos Aires' most versatile musicians - at once an incredible producer and formidable percussionist. Tres Semillas es el primer disco que el ecuatoriano Lascivio Bohemia edita en conjunto con New Latam Beats, el cual es conformado por tres canciones hechas a lo largo del tiempo y en diferentes momentos creativos del proyecto, pero cuya propuesta global es comunicar de manera instrumental, tal como propone el artista, “mi fascinación por todo lo que veo, y experimento. Siempre de forma muy psicodélica sonoramente”.

“Futurismo Afroindígena”,  nace de la idea de Pedro Canoeiro de crear una atmósfera, tal como él mismo define, “telúrica y trascendental, un sonido húmedo y con olor a selva tropical”, integrando elementos imaginativos de futuros sujetos de(s)colonizados, así como también de la búsqueda de una banda sonora pensada en lo que indica cómo “la utopía tecnológica afro-diaspórica e indígena”.
 
Pedro Canoeiro es un proyecto musical del sound designer y productor musical de Pedro Caetano, proyecto que data de 2017 y desde entonces ha ido ganando espacio en la escena brasileña del downtempo, con una sonoridad particular que mezcla ritmos afrolatinos e indígenas, con elementos electrónicos. Con esta trayectoria, el músico llega a la concreción de este nuevo trabajo, el que a nivel sonoro adquiere una personalidad única y potente, basada en la diversidad de Brasil, país marcado por el mestizaje, lo que aborda innumerables identidades, ritmos y manifestaciones. Es así como en el disco se pueden encontrar registros, por ejemplo, de los batuques del candomblé, côco de rueda, maracatú, bumba meu boi, carimbó, y muchos otros.
