"Divergence" is a collaboration project alongside  @Syst3mGlitchOfficial  and is my first release of 2023.
We started this track all the way back in December of 2021, and carefully crafted the finished product over the course of 14 months. Syst3m Glitch is an absolute wizard when it comes to production - he made allowed this song to reach its full potential.

"Daydream" is my first solo release of 2023. The project was started on March 25th of 2020, and production took roughly 9 hours. All production, mixing, and mastering was done by me.
Even though I started this project back in early 2020, a large portion of the production didn't take place until this year. I recently upgraded my PC, and I found this work-in-progress while organizing files. Once I heard it, I knew I had to finish it up.

"Relics" is my 3rd release of 2023. The project was started on May 6th of 2023, and production took roughly 9 hours. All production, mixing, and mastering was done by me.
This track was heavily inspired by my November 2021 single, "Arcane Era," and is the direction I'm looking to take my music moving forward. The lead that comes in during the bridge section was especially fun to use, and I love how the sound turned out.

In anticipation of Finnish producer Jani R's forthcoming "Fragile" artist album on Silk Sofa, we're proud to present "A Thousand Flares", including an accompanying remix by UK producer Data Rebel. Jani R previously appeared on Silk Sofa with his "Collision" EP, as well as his lush remixes of Seagrave's "Tick Tock".

The Original Mix quickly establishes a unique and mesmerizing soundscape. Soon thereafter, gorgeous string layers emerge, as well as a beautiful and tranquil theme synth. As the song progresses, various percussion elements are introduced, accompanied by stunning textural sound effects. The song brilliantly showcases the quality of sounds and melodies to be expected on Jani's full-length artist album. Data Rebel is a new addition to the Silk Sofa roster, and his remix of "A Thousand Flares" could not be a better introduction. His remix begins with soothing pad and string lines, as well as refreshing sound effects in the background. A lush breakbeat is introduced soon thereafter, while an enjoyable bassline appears underneath. The song is continuously spiced up with new melodies and structural changes, enhancing the atmosphere even further.

"Stratos" is my 1st release of 2025, and my first original track since "Relics" in July of 2023. The project was started on November 25th of 2023, and production took just under 9 hours. All production, mixing, and mastering was done by me.
This is the first time I've featured vocal samples/chops in my tracks in quite some time, and I really like how it turned out. The synth that comes in at the end of every 4-bar section was especially fun to make, and really gives this track its atmospheric touch.

"Dispersion" is a collaboration project alongside Caspro - my first collaborative track since "Divergence" with Syst3m Glitch in March of 2023. The project was started on February 7th of 2025, and is the fifth song on Caspro's album "Distance."
I had so much fun working with Caspro on this track, he's a great artist and wonderful person. He thought of the name "Dispersion" for the track, and I thought it fit perfectly given how the synths flutter around the mix, blending different melodies in and out of each other.

Iowa native Ryan Unash, aka SHIKIMO, first found a passion for electronic music in 2010, when he was introduced to the music of Basshunter. In 2011, with the aid of his musical background – including double bass and piano – he began producing his own music using FL Studio, starting with trance, and expanding over the years into a wide variety of genres before developing his own unique blend of chill synthwave.

Space, weather, and beautiful landscapes shape the mood of SHIKIMO’s tracks, and he finds himself focusing on a particular setting when creating his sounds. His music has amassed millions of plays across all platforms, and his 2018 EP, "Off-World" was named "the best synth-ambient project of the decade" by Synthwave Radio.

SHIKIMO's 3rd full-length album, "Forerunners," released on June 25th, 2021, and he looks forward to releasing much more great music in the future.
