We are pleased to announce 'The Society of the Spectacle', a new release by the talented sound artist Toni Dimitrov that takes us in the realm of complex melodic yet noisy ambient/drone music which pushes the boundaries of sound exploration, blending intricate melodies with layers of sonic chaos. The album weaves together lush, evolving textures of ambient soundscapes, where delicate, almost ethereal melodies emerge and recede, tangled in a dense web of distortion and static. The music builds slowly, using long, drawn-out tones and feedback that gradually swell into a cacophony of overlapping frequencies. While the melodies are often subtle and fleeting, they provide a sense of movement and emotional depth amid the raw, unstructured noise. This contrast creates a tension between harmony and discord, making the listening experience immersive and disorienting. The result is a sonic journey that invites listeners to explore the delicate balance between beauty and entropy, where melody and noise coexist in a delicate, if not unsettling, harmony. Rhucle is a Japanese artist based in Tokyo who began his activities in 2013. Since then, he has released over 80 works, including solo and collaborative albums, on labels from around the world.

He also runs his own private label, Night Coast, through which he consistently releases his own material.

From 2017 to 2019, he organized a live event series called Threshold, focusing on ambient artists. Through this platform, he invited and performed alongside numerous artists from both Japan and abroad.

Rhucle's music is primarily composed using synthesizers, piano, field recordings he captures himself, and samples from a variety of sources. However, he is not limited by conventional instruments—anything that produces sound can become a part of his music.

In addition to music, he also creates photographs, paintings, and collages, continuously exploring new forms of expression and artistic creation.

Rhucle（ルク）は、東京を拠点に活動している日本のアーティスト。2013年より活動を開始。これまでに世界各国のレーベルから多くの作品をリリースしており、現在までにソロアルバム・コラボレーションアルバム含め80作品以上リリースしている。 
また、プライベートレーベル「Night Coast」を運営、自身の作品をコンスタントにリリースしている。
2017年から2019年にはアンビエントアーティストを主体としたライブイベント「Threshold」を主催、国内外多数のアーティストを招待し、共演を果たす。
彼の音楽は主に、シンセサイザー、ピアノ、自身で録音したフィールドレコーディング素材、様々な素材からのサンプリングによって構成されている。しかし、音が生成されるものなら、あらゆるものを使用し音楽を制作している。 
また音楽以外にも、写真、絵画、コラージュ作品などを制作しており、常に新しい作品を創造し続けている。

After completing their first album FIELD REPORTS for Moving Furniture Records, Philipp Bückle and Martijn Pieck went straight into the production of their second album. 

While FIELD REPORTS was an exploration of various fictitious urban scenarios, the goal for the second album was to be even less musical without losing the narrative thread in the tracks. And while the production progressed, the feeling of being lost in stormy weather, overwhelmed by the breeze occurred on several occasions. 

So A STORM IS ANY DISTURBED STATE OF AN ENVIRONMENT seemed to be a good headline for these new creations. The little melodic fragments of the first album were lost completely for a more droning and noisy approach. Field recordings, FM manipulations and white noise became the most dominant elements. The album consists of six different sonic environments that are soothing and disturbing at the same time. 
After the album received a digital-only release by Whitelabrecs in 2023, Shimmering Moods Records now offers a limited physical edition on CD.

It has been about 53 months since the last solo Purl album was released. 'Renovatio' marked the end of an emotional process related to music-making that I felt had become too heavy for me to continue, and the title signified the rebirth I felt was necessary. I thought at the time that perhaps this would be the last Purl album.

Since then there have been 17 singles, EPs and collaborative albums released that in different ways opened my mind and heart beyond anything that came before. There has also been solo releases planned that did not happen (yet), for different reasons.

'Himmelsandar' isn't really something new. Then again, I wonder if there ever has been or will be anything new from this stream of awareness and emotion that I call Purl. It somehow seems to me like everything essential was present from the beginning, and I'm not sure if anything has been added to it since. I dream of starting new projects; painting on a blank canvas again. But nothing here was painted on such a canvas. Everything was painted and repainted, so many times that the original idea may no longer be distinguished other than as the faintest wisp of something... ethereal.

Observatory ('Himmelsandar')

Following his debut Dolere (2024) and a collaboration with Joachim Spieth and Markus Guentner on Arcadia (2025), zakè returns to Joachim's Affin imprint with an intensely captivating work that explores the resonance of low frequencies and subsonic vibrations. There are only three pieces on this 55-minute release (the first track runs for over 28 minutes!), and you get to preview one of them before the album is out. This is music shaped for your deep, immersive, and glacial listening sessions. Good headphones and a subwoofer (yes, at the same time) are recommended. Perfect for my slowly-waking, frazzled mind this morning!

"Low Harmonics builds upon the reflective world first introduced by Zach on Dolere, which explored how time stretches during periods of sorrow and how sound can create a brief shelter from that weight. The predecessor fluctuated between ache and relief, and now its follow-up dives further into the inward, existential space beneath those emotions. Here, the use of deep and subterranean tones feels both intimate and vast, pulling you deeper into the lower spectrum of sound, shaped by heavy bass ebbs, low-frequency flow, and slow-moving drift. This album echoes the textural gravity of artists like Thomas Köner and the cold Arctic brush of Geir Jenssen, while remaining rooted in Affin’s commitment to sound that lives outside the expected."
