In 2005, Innersphere aka Shinedoe dropped Phunk on Intacto Records, a track that became a classic anthem, setting dancefloors on fire across festivals, clubs, and radio stations worldwide. With iconic remixes by Steve Angello, Ricardo Villalobos, and Mark Broom, it secured its place as a true techno classic.  

Now, 20 years later, Phunk and Astrophunk are making a powerful comeback—remastered, 
re-energized, and re-released on MTM (Music That Moves), the label founded by Shinedoe. A deep, electrifying banger in Phunk—a groovy, hard-hitting stabber packed with pulsating energy, hypnotic rhythms and unstoppable momentum that keeps you locked in, rocking and craving for more!

Shinedoe - Phunk 2025 - MTM

Shinedoe’s tenth MTM release is a reminder of how effective her precision approach can be. GEMS is four tracks that have been focused under years of dancefloor experience. Hypnotic Techno with crisp drum programming, refined atmospheres and basslines that do the heavy lifting whilst sitting integral to the groove.

“Stand Up” is classic Shinedoe with taut percussion, gradual pressure, a unique bass idea that feels more like a an FM synth mantra than a hook. The “Rework” leans deeper, blurring the space the original bass took and opening room while keeping the pulse locked. Next “Gold” nudges into peak-time territory with a unreal rhythm and bass section that has already lit-up Berghain this season.

Closing GEMS we have “Alkebulan” Mother of human mankind. The Garden of Eden. It was the original name for Africa. In Alkebulan she brings Igbo the ancient Egyptians, her ancestors into the here and now. The track has a depth to it rarely heard, threading ancestral motifs into a rolling framework that feels grounded and quietly euphoric.

Nothing here chases drama. Instead, GEMS favours precision, power and practise. The kind of tracks that glue a night together and bring the dancefloor with them. Irresistible.

Shinedoe readies her fifth album ‘Freedom Riders’ on her MTM Records imprint with the release of
her vinyl-focused ‘Wake Up’ EP, offering a four-track preview into the project while unveiling a selection of diverse electronic productions for home listening through to the dancefloor.

Over two decades, Dutch DJ and producer Chinedum Nwosu, aka Shinedoe, has established her presence as one of house and techno’s most loved talents, while carving a true path to her own vision.

Based in Amsterdam and featuring as a key part of the city’s rich and blossoming underground scene, with performances across De Martkantine, Shelter and Thuishaven to international institutions such as Berghain to Fabric, her releases on the likes of Rekids, Cocoon, Bpitch Control and her 2021 release ‘The Observer’ on Jeff Mills’ iconic Axis cemented her reputation as one of the scene’s first talents. 

Having launched her own label MTM Records in 2018, releasing four EPs on the label to date, October signals the arrival of the label’s first album in the form of her ten-track ‘Freedom Riders’ - an expansive and diverse project created in lockdown capturing sonics from across the spectrum - with the LP preceded by Nwosu’s four-track album sampler EP titled ‘Wake Up’.

Shinedoe returns with a killer remix package celebrating some of the
highlights of her well received Freedom Riders album. The LP
dropped towards the end of last year, winning plaudits for rich sound
design, sleek production and thoughtful concept. With this release
Shinedoe has selected four producers for their unique sound to
rework the originals into new shapes.

First up is LA’s Truncate (aka David Flores) who gives a new perspective
on Expressionisme - flipping it into a warm and groovy techno cut with lots
of nicely balanced vocals and trippy, dubbed out synths.

Ritzi Lee is next up with his take on Shine. The Amsterdam techno veteran
(Steve Liem) adds his own twist to one of the standout tracks from
Freedom Riders, producing a driving, restless groove stripped down to its
essential elements.

Elsewhere, Keith Carnal, another Dutch master, turns the previous single
Wake Up into a high energy peak time floor filler - firing percussion, trippy
grooves and huge white noise bursts ramp up the tension.

Finally, So It Is is reworked by Lawrence, whose signature deep and
dubby approach to techno results in a heady, hypnotic cut that is sure to be
a staple on more adventurous dancefloors.

At the age of 16, Shinedoe was already comfortable in the club. The Dutch artist started dancing at parties as a part-time job while studying before finding her way behind the decks. She landed her first big DJ booking at Amsterdam club Paradiso at the tender age of 19 and her first single, "Dilemma," from 2004, quickly became an Ibiza favourite. All of this is to say that she knows how to move a room.

Influenced by Detroit techno pioneers like Robert Hood, Shinedoe's mixes and productions are full of jacking kicks and big-room basslines. Funky, slamming rhythms are her forte and even when she focuses on minimalist tech house or darker sounds, there's always some zest sprinkled in, in the form of electro and breaks.

For her RA Podcast, the Intacto Records and Music That Moves founder offers a variety of powerful techno cuts. There's DJ Godfather's turntablist take, her own acid-tinged mindbenders and a hard, no-nonsense banger from Glasgow duo Slam to conclude. It's the kind of punchy mix that can pull in any kind of dance music fan, techno head or not.

Shinedoe drops her second release on her own Music That Moves label, following on from last year's outstanding Mutant Frequencies EP.

Razor is a four track release that cements the label boss’s role as one of the most important producers in the scene, highlighting her powerful, refined sound throughout the different versions included here.
The original of Razor is as sharp and deadly as the title suggests - a taut, edgy production built around a propulsive rhythm, great swarths of razor-sharp synths and fizzing, popping percussion. The Dub Version strips away the metallic synths and focuses in on the rhythmic interplay of drums, bass and percussion, resulting is a spacy, dubbed out techno weapon.

The remixes come courtesy of Rob Kirkaldy, aka Roberto - the London based techno producer whose exciting, direct sound shows influences from Detroit as well as his hometown. The first remix is a rolling, deep banger - that seems to develop in intensity as waves of sounds merge and meld, guided by laser like percussion. Roberto’s second remix strips away some of the additional layers, and reveals a sleek, rhythmic structure that takes it cues form some of the lords of Detroit techno.
