Shipwrec sister label Deep Sound Channel follows up Mike Parker's EP with a new one from Eindhoven's Albert van Abbe. 
Van Abbe recently started his own label, VANABBE, and also releases his otherworldly techno on labels like Curle and Trolldans. Here he offers up three new tracks that are richly analogue and hugely involving. The first is 'Ostinati09', a wonky house cut with kinked synth lines, raw drums and mechanical percussion that makes for a stark and industrial atmosphere. 'Ostinati08' is a prickly brew of weird synth sounds, incessant hi hats and drums that seem to rock on their heels: it's a tense cut that never lets up before the much more doleful and soulful closer 'Ostinati02'. This one has sombre synths, stiff percussion and icy hi hats and is like a whacked out electro shell filled with emotive chords. This is hard to categorise stuff that is dancey as well as heady.

Next up on the 2025 Bass Agenda it is a pleasure to bring you some dystopian tripnotic Electro vibes from Italian producer Pomposo. Link in Bio.

Highly atmospheric Electro beats at a range of BPMs all carefully crafted for maximum headspace stimulation with grooves to match.

Pomposo was born in Naples, went on to live in London after his student days where he organised a series of parties under the 'Primitive Beat' banner. Upon returning to Italy after 5 years his creative juices began to flow and he began producing Techno and other sounds; also running the Primitive Beat label and FreshFoodMusic. Since 2020 he has been running Macro Terra Records, focusing on a blend of Electro, Techno and Experimental sounds stemming from Ambient, Industrial and Bass music.

Voidless Records debuts with Tectonics, a four-track EP by Barcelona-based producer Cyberdom, where Electro collides with a narrative of collapse and transformation.

What if collapse isn’t the end, but the beginning?

The main theme of the release draws inspiration from the natural forces that shape our planet. Plate tectonics. This cycle of breakdown and reformation becomes a metaphor for social crises, collective uprisings, and personal processes of transformation.

The journey begins with ‘Mariana Trench’, a dense ambient piece evoking a descent into the deepest ocean trench. ‘Collapse’ follows with tight beats and simmering synths building slow-burning tension. The title track ‘Tectonics’ delivers syncopated basslines, robotic patterns, and vocoders that encapsulates the concept of the release. The EP is brought to a close with ‘System Strikers’ a four-on-the-floor weapon driven by heavy kicks, vocoders, and sharp arpeggiated basslines.

This first release lays the foundation for Voidless Records — a forward-thinking imprint rooted in concept, where each work carves its own path, unbound by genre and driven by deeper artistic intent.

TL PREMIERE : Chris Vocoder - Robots use TTS [Microm Records]

For our next physical release, FERMA proudly welcomes Fragedis. A driving force in the local underground for over two decades, Fragedis is renowned for his eclectic, genre-blending, DJ sets and productions. Staying loyal to the craft and deeply committed to the culture, he is also co-hosting Healthy Summer in Crete, one of Greece’s most revered festivals for authentic rave culture.

This release features six tracks that perfectly encapsulate FERMA’s sound identity and forward-thinking vision. The A-side opens with “Teras”, an atmospheric piece with immersive vocals that lay the foundation for the journey ahead. “Thrust Reverse” cranks up the intensity with industrial-driven arpeggios, primed to ignite the dancefloor. Closing out the first side is a stripped-down reprise of “Teras”, reimagined by a legendary artist who has shaped the Athenian industrial sound - true name strictly confidential.

Flipping to the B-side, “Live in Lies” drifts into deeper territory, weaving atmospheric pads and trancey synth sequences for introspective, eyes-down moments. Bringing it all home, “Fasaries” delivers an electro spinoff that rounds out the release’s sonic character and journey.

Physical wasnt enough and "Body Pressure" has been added in the mix as a digital bonus :)

On one side, the retro-futuristic elegance of Commuter, nourished by the first vibrations of electro and a fascination for Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. On the other, the dark, cinematic world of EKATA, a London resident and explorer of dystopian grooves inspired by science fiction. These two distinct trajectories converge on the split EP signed to Rennes-based label Ethos Records, due out on 27 June.
