There is a unique eerie vibe that you can only find in the post-industrial city of La Louvière, yet it’s the playground of the Portuguese-Italian DJ and producer Vhyce.

Known for his tracks to create subtle tension and tell stories with no or sparse vocals, Vhyce has developed his trademark cosmic sound over a string of releases on forward thinking labels such as AEON, Pets, Correspondant without forgetting his own new label Saint Vaast Recordings - named after his city neighborhood.

His music is supported by the likes of Peggy Gou, Keinemusik, Gerd Janson, Jennifer Cardini or Dixon and played at Coachella, BBC Radio 1, NTS, Rinse FM and The Lot. Lately he’s been touring in Europe and South Africa as a DJ as well as maintaining his Belgium national radio TIPIK residency.

The Darker Side of Disco is a radioshow hosted by Reyk. In the monthly show he will showcase Disco influenced music with a darker twist. It will feature the latest releases and timeless classics from genres like Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Dark Disco, some trance vibes and everything in between.

The Darker Side of Disco - Episode 9

Matthias Vogt is a German musician, DJ, and producer whose work seamlessly bridges jazz sophistication with electronic innovation. Born in Rüsselsheim in 1970, Vogt trained as a jazz pianist before venturing into club culture, eventually co-founding the deep house duo Motorcitysoul and the jazz collective [re:jazz]. Over three decades, he has become a versatile force-releasing music that spans deep house, ambient, IDM, and broken beat, always infused with his improvisational touch and love for organic sound.

His solo career has flourished with standout projects like Polytonality (Polytone), the politically charged Pianissimo (Infracom!), and Ten As One (Reflections/Anjunadeep), featuring collaborators such as Hans Berg, Johanna Klein, and Sato. In 2025, his Lost EP on Moodmusic showcased both soulful vocal work with Fola Dada and nods to his Frankfurt club roots.

A regular at iconic venues from Cocoon Club to Tresor and Blue Note Tokyo, Vogt has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Whether performing live with a band or behind the decks, his sets and productions carry an unmistakable warmth-rooted in musicality, informed by jazz discipline, and driven by a curiosity that refuses to be confined by genre.

Vogt’s enduring appeal lies in his ability to create music that feels timeless yet current, sophisticated yet dance-floor ready-a rare balance that continues to inspire listeners worldwide.

Argentinian artist Alexis Cabrera has long been celebrated for his adventurous live performances, where modular synthesis and freeform experimentation blur the lines between minimal house and electro. Now based in Spain after a spell in Berlin, he has carved a reputation as one of Argentina’s most forward-thinking electronic producers.

For this exclusive Cadenza Radio episode, Alexis steps away from his usual live set format to deliver a rare DJ mix. Fresh off the first release on Cadenza’s new sister label Cadence Noire, he now showcases another side of his sound.

Each month, we invite someone from our extended circle to curate a mixtape — designed to set the tone and stir the senses. 

Kenny Montana and Juul Pence (two longtime friends of the house and each other) tag-teamed a Sunday afternoon at Kanon and left the place dripping in groove. The vibe? Somewhere between hands-in-pockets head-nodding and “who put this on?” dinner party delights. It’s music to stir the sauce to, to open a bottle with, to let your shoulders drop and your appetite rise.

Exploited Rec label founder, internationally renowned DJ/ promoter/radio host and talent scout Shir Khan brings Berlin's finest Disco, House & Techno to the table.   
A decade into shaping careers of artists like Claptone, Adana Twins, Joyce Muniz and Budakid, he continues to remain on the pulse of the global underground shaping dance music through his label, productions and unconventional, uncompromising and unpredictable sets. 

Shir Khan established his label night at Berlin’s Watergate over the years, did a groundbreaking weekly radioshow at Radio Fritz for over 8 years whilst regularly touring all over the world. He is currently based in Bangkok, Thailand. 
His music is exciting and full of amazing tracks that you most likely will not have heard before.
In 2016 Shir Khan released the album compilation ’Dancing & Romancing’ to great critical press acclaim.
Label boss Shir Khans excellent A&R skills proceed him by this point, but taking stock of just a fraction of what hes signed along the way really drives his reputation home. From breaking Claptone as an unknown artist to helping him become one of the biggest-selling names in dance music to introducing the world to other major players like Adana Twins, Doctor Dru and Joyce Muniz, he has unearthed a staggering amount of talent in such a short space of time. Shir Khan furthermore launched the Secret Gold series on Exploited which features extended family members and a new sub-label Exploited Ghetto NOW Exploited Club.
