This compilation includes additional screen sounds from the unpublished tapes of composer Tomislav Simović also featured in Dušan Vukotić film The Visitors From The Galaxy (Gosti iz galaksije, 1981). With courtesy of Tomislav Simović Estate artists were given complete creative freedom to remix, reinvent and re-imagine the futuristic soundscape of first science-fiction film in Yugoslavia that was scored in analog, abstract, electronic and synthesised music.

This makes Tomislav Simović the first and the only one composer in ex-Yugoslavia region to gain such unique international recognition and tribute of wide spectrum of contemporary musicians from different parts of the world: United States, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Serbia and Croatia.

From the cosmos of Stretford on the outer realms of Manchester comes the kaleidoscope view of the world according to Psychederek and it's an explosive trip of shoe gaze soaked balearica on this super limited vinyl release!

Lead track Screamadereka heads straight into orbit from the get go with a stop off to thank the likes of The Cocteau Twins & Death In Vegas for their influence along the way. Huge drums, spaced out synths, warped guitars & a fully charged love in style vocal all wrapped up in a mushroom flavoured microdot with a pretty empowering finale.

I'm Alright steps up the ante a bit more and goes all Tomorrow Never Knows on us but with added warehouse acid squelch & rasps throbbing out from a beat that is broken (but not break beat!) whilst still retaining the psychedelic tendencies of its predecessor.  

Sean Johnston steps off the ALFOS rocket ship and joins forces with Duncan Gray for their Hardway Bros Meet Monkton Disco Dub take of Screamadereka and the result is a hive of cosmic mutant disco brilliance whilst Manchester's finest 6 piece See Thru Hands turn I'm Alright into bombastic focused UKG style wig out duet complete with new vocal takes by DNCN for seriously wonky floors & like minded souls.

For the digital release there is also an extra helping from Hardway Bros & Monkton where they ramp up the wonk factor & go even more horizontal than the original!

Limited vinyl release comes with an incredible exclusive insert drawn by Manchester local artist Emma Evans and features a visual interpretation of the Space Arcade E.P.

Underground Pacific’s latest offering, “The Only Good Wave Is a Next One”, feels deft and elegant. Through its post-punk and new wave underpinnings- tap-hissing kicks, chunky synth-wobbles, and bleached vocals- clear, fluid top notes give the sound a modern feel. The results are refractive yet moody, careful yet powerful, mature, and considered.

This compilation features a choice array of international artists from Italians Amarcord (MEET Compact Club, Ombra Int’l) and Italo-disco frontrunner Marcello Giordani (50% Marvin and Guy, known also as Italo Deviance) to Leipzig-based artist-musicians New Hook (Riotvan, Live at Robert Jonson, Ombra Int’l).
Californian Underground Pacific’s labelmaster Cantor, Robert E. Livingood (of Ombra Int’l), and Mexican Alf Champion (Fucanglong, Optimo Music) contribute tracks from across the Atlantic and complete the release’s lineup.

Saturn is a music project by DJ/Producer Andra G. Yoseph, which over the years had worked alongside music collectives and labels. Joining Akamady Records in 2019, he also has done several rework and remixes on other labels, one of his notable remix was released under MMDiscos Berlin. Its vibe sits in the middle spectrum between organic wave and 70’s psychedelia, equipped with subtle krautrock feel.
Karavan Haze EP marks Saturn's second original mix series release on Akamady Records. The EP starts with Moonstone Dub, a mix between dub-disco house and percussive soundscapes, evoking a trip through a nocturnal tunnel. Then comes Karavan Haze, an atmospheric electronica track that provides mind and body elevating trip. The EP closes with Santi Kush, which combines distinct aspects of world music and traditional percussion with mind-altering subliminal groove.

Man2.0 aka Mark Bailey, is no stranger to Paisley Dark Records. Having appeared on three previous releases in his guise of remixer, we are extremely excited and honoured to present his debut EP for the label, Red Shift.

Again no stranger to the label, Steady State takes us on an intergalactic trip to a far off universe, bouncing from star to star whilst whistling sweet melodies back to earth.

When Disco Goes Wrong's Mindbender weighs in with a hefty slab of cosmic Italo grooviness, remaining fully focused on retaining the dance floor. Strobes and smoke at the ready !!!

Swedish artist The Machine Soul who's last release, Norra Linjen, was released here on Paisley Dark Records, has produced a totally unique take on the track with a retro breakbeat feel and old school sampled vocal and yet manages to catapult us somewhere in to the future.

One of Paisley Dark's fave producers, Mark Cooper aka Bedford Falls Players, ventures into early New Order territory with a Hooky style riff played high up the fret board and adding even more melody than would have been thought humanly possible.

Last but certainly not least is our good friends Jezebell who have produced a bouncing cosmic delight which is simply impossible not to dance to. One to get the party started whist out on the terrace enjoying the last of the sunshine.
