We have been repping at ADE for many years. On October 17th the label will be taking over Paradiso for a supreme showcase of forward-thinking beats and bass. Andy C, Calyx & Teebee, Wilkinson, June Miller, Loadstar and Delta Heavy will be demonstrating their skills and the label have put together a very special album to celebrate… 
‘RAMsterdam Drum & Bass 2013’ is a journey into the darker, moodier psyche of Ram. An exploration of the label’s extensiive repertoire, each track has been cherry-picked to complement the hectic, late night hedonism you’ll experience during ADE’s night schedule. 13 hallmark, agenda-setting tracks dating from as far back as 1996 plus two killer exclusives that you will not find anywhere else, ‘RAMsterdam Drum & Bass 2013’ is a crucial celebration of the industry’s most effective music conference.

Amid unarguable genre-defining classics such as Shimon & Andy C’s oft-referenced, never-bettered ‘Quest’, Fresh’s ‘Signal’, Noisia’s ‘Deception’ and Sub Focus’s ‘Let The Story Begin’, the album is saturated in upfront 2013 shock-outs from the most exciting, respected artists in drum & bass: Hamilton’s speaker-shredding ‘F**K It Up’, Loadstar’s staccato spine-melter ‘Warrior’, DC Breaks’ rush-raged ‘Shaman’, June Miller’s icy scorcher ‘Change’ and Mind Vortex’s planet aligning ‘Arc VIP’. Having enjoyed the honour of launching the label last summer with the highly acclaimed ‘Firethorn’ and ‘Pandorum’, Frankee’s doubled his dynamite with no less than four dancefloor-focussed slices of absolute bass gold.
Showcasing his creative range with depth and clarity, every element on this EP is coated in a robust sense of timeless drum & bass magic and melody: Nodding at the scene’s rich past, while pushing us as far into the future as possible, each cut will quickly find its way to the very top of your playlist.
We launch with ‘Harlequin’, a purring roller that’s devilishly simple but demonically effective. A groaning bassline and tubular subs vie for your attention as the steppy riddim drills the message home with such razor-sharp punctuation, each additional percussive element that’s added as the track develops causes major chaos.
Next-up ‘Paranormal’. An instant hair-raiser, the quintessential pitched down pianos conjure up 25 years of rave heritage in one simple reverberated strike. Then, before nostalgia kicks in too much, in fires a scorching bassline that grizzles and kicks its way through the mix with uncompromising menace. If you thought the low-end growls of Frankee’s previous release were stuff of legend, just wait until you hear this bass behemoth!
‘Saffron’ follows. Oozing low-end luxury and a swift, skippy riddim, it’s an instant groove massage laced with floating vocal textures and emotive, ethereal pads. An instant hypnotiser, it instantly flies your floor to places they didn’t even know existed. Paying respect to the expensive, aromatic delicacies of its namesake, ‘Saffron’ more than lives up to its name.
Finally we hit ‘Flintstone’. Concluding this epic tale with a wry grin, it’s the perfect balance of deep, dark rollage and subtle humour. The overwhelmingly warm sub squiggles, icy pads and textured percussive dynamics make this track a must for all record boxes!
Seldom does an EP come with such a fitting title…Not just a bold statement of dancefloor intent, each of these four cuts mark a quintessential turning point in Frankee’s promising career. From young hopeful to bona fide hot prospect, Frankee has firmed up a front row seat in D&B’s future.

Whiney’s underground drum & bass flare has flourished since signing exclusively to Med School. Now he’s set and ready to present his incredible debut album ‘Talisman’ - a symbol of his dedication to D+B with a strong 12-track collection of dancefloor weapons.

The hard-hitting album opener ‘Talisman’ sets the pace with epic musicality, industrial bleeps and fat, meaty basslines. Matching up with the heavyweight business are ‘Archive’ and ‘Rock Hopper’. Plus ‘Minds Collide’ can’t be missed – a middle-eastern influenced half-time stepper that matches up with the exuding attitude of ‘Portal’ that's already received support from neuro giants Noisia.

Whiney’s joined forces with Hospital’s Brazilian mastermind on ‘Sun Kissed’, balancing choppy vocal snippets with Urbandawn’s signature percussions and growling subs. Turning to melancholic movements is ‘The Farthest Shore’ and ‘Never Too Long’ the latter a collaboration with long-term label mate Keeno and lead by a strong vocal topline from Whiney himself. A final collaborative effort comes from Med School’s resident MC Inja who’s brought his lyrical genius to Whiney’s deep roller ‘Flashlight’.
