Bibi Priti Kaur beautifully sings this heartwarming Shabad, which is a prayer by Bibi Bhani Ji, the mother of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru. Alongside, Bibi Gurprit Kaur provides a thoughtful translation of the Shabad, so that we can not only enjoy the beautiful Kirtan but also understand the words.

Let us take a moment to remember the love and blessings that mothers bring into our lives, and appreciate the selfless devotion of Bibi Bhani Ji towards her son and the Sikh community. May the true prayer of a mother bless all children and help them connect with Vaheguru Ji, just as Bibi Bhani Ji's motherly blessing was showered upon Guru Arjan Dev Ji.

I sang this shabad spontaneously a couple of years ago inspired by someone who sent me the words ... just went into the studio and sang it.  This melody is not my composition, it is one of my favorite compositions of Bhai Harjinder Singh ji Srinagar wale.  

Recently I added some piano and strings to that arrangement. Perhaps this needs more work, perhaps not. I"ll let the Guru decide.
