The Tilt Room started in late 2002 as the punk band BACCHUS with Mike Swindell on guitar/vocals and Matt Dacierno on bass. They released their first self-titled EP shortly after they began playing out in 2004. However, their first drummer had to leave the band for personal reasons shortly after that.
 Even without a drummer, the music and ideas kept flowing, and in 2006 they found a great fit in a drummer, and began playing out all over Pittsburgh. The next two years brought new music, and a lot of local gigs, as well as their second 4 track EP titled The Tilt Room. But, in 2007 that drummer had his own vision for his future which did not include being in a band, and we were left without a percussionist again.
 Mike and Matt forged on, continuing to write new material and search for a drummer for the band. In 2008 they changed the name of the band to The Tilt Room after they met a very talented drummer who really expanded their musical horizons, and helped them develop their style into the progressive touch they have today. In 2011, that drummer also left the band. They’re currently in search of a percussionist, however despite being without a drummer, their passion and drive has kept them striving for more.
 During the summer of 2011, Mike and Matt recorded a new 18 track album titled Confront Your World as an acoustic duo. Confront Your World has just recently been released on CD and on the internet.
 “Our sole purpose from the beginning has been to change people’s perspective on the way they perceive music. Music should only come from one place, and that’s the soul. It should be written with passion, dedication and an honesty that can’t be faked. We have always sought to write thought provoking and emotionally charged music. People need to feel what they are hearing. We’d rather let the music speak for itself.” The Tilt Room
