Sound fragments, field recordings, radio transmissions and the secret soundscapes of machines and building structures are taken apart and reconfigured. The work presented here is the result of such explorations into the sonics of analogue and digital materiality. The music takes the listener on audiological expeditions into uncharted territories. I’m interested in all kinds of collaboration, get in touch if you would like to exchange ideas and/or praxis.

​Nuno Veiga is a multidisciplinary artist based in Lisbon whose practice includes sound art, acting, Theatre direction, video art, installations, teaching and arts facilitation.

​

Graduated in Theater Studies from the University of Évora in Portugal in 2006, and have been working in professional arts contexts since 2001.

​

In Portugal worked as an actor, sound designer and teacher with various institutions including the National Theaters, Karnart, Balleteatro Professional School,Antena 2 (National Radio Broadcast) and several educational institutions.  

 

In 2011, moved to London where and continued to work as an actor, audio visual designer and arts facilitator, collaborating with various companies and institutions, including: Resonance Radio, London College of Fashion, Young Vic, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Soho Theater, Knot Theory, Hide Tide, Spare Tire, Absolute Theater, Battersea Arts Center, Rare Salt and The Playground Rambert. Also collaborated with the Edinburgh International Festival as a sound designer and sound consultant.

 

As an arts facilitator worked with a variety of community groups including at-risk youth, elderly, learning difficulties, and more. As an Associate Artist at Spare Tire developed several projects with voiceless communities.

 

Sound improviser, developing his own solo projects and collaborating on other improvisation-based projects such as NoiD, Cojones Spirituales, SKRONK, Ar|ra and Fuck Popopx 2.

Christian Duka is a multifaceted music and sound artist who works primarily with spatial audio. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists across various disciplines, from free improvisation to contemporary digital dance to experimental and dance electronic music. Christian Duka is also a versatile DJ moving fluidly between experimental ambient realms and the physical energy of dance music — often blurring the line between the two in experimental ways: left-field bass, smokey dubbed-out jazzy jungle & dnb, psychedelic techno & trance for genre-fluid, bass-heavy, atmospheric, introspective and euphoric journeys.

Notable collaborative projects include the interdisciplinary work "UR: Human Presence" with Jose Macabra, Pell Ensemble, and Elyssavet Sfyri, the spatial drone-bath performance "The Listening Body" with Hems, Merkaba Macabre, and Pascal Savy, a series of live performances in collaboration with free improvisers such as John Butcher, Ute Kanngiesser, Lucie Stepankova, David Toop, Sharon Gal, and Aimee Theriot (4DSOUND), exploring the fusion of free improvisation and live electronics in three-dimensional audio, and the electronic music projects MARMO & Vādin with Marco Maldarella and Avsluta, respectively, with releases on various international record labels (Utter, Offen, Area127, Secuencias Temporales).

Beyond his own artistic projects, he taught electronic music, audio production and sound design at SAE London and Greenwich University and founded Amoenus, a non-profit organization that promotes and supports spatial sound in immersive arts through residency programs, workshops, and public events.
