PREMIERE: Victor Ruiz - Voyage (Original Mix) [Suara]

Tale Of Us present a new collaboration with Vaal for the sixth release on their Afterlife label. Three years after they teamed up for ‘Concur’ and began to tour together, the trio return with their most anthemic offering yet. Vaal’s hauntingly-beautiful and instantly-recognisable vocals are the centre-piece on ‘Monument’, building on the style of her Wander To Hell EP (AL002). The drums and shimmering synth lines are moody and uplifting in the way Tale Of Us have made their own, arranged perfectly for the psychedelic breakthrough.

On the flip side, ‘The Hangar’ takes a different approach to equally devastating effect. It pumps with added urgency and a thunderous, steely bassline lunges out from the low-end. Designed for large soundsystems and big rooms, ‘The Hangar’ finds Tale Of Us and Vaal at their most direct and it’s something to behold.

Barnt and Stephan Bodzin, two artists whose stand-out performances at recent Afterlife events have made them firm favourites with the crowds, are tapped for the remixes (AL007). They both take on ‘Monument’, Barnt opting for a rolling, percussive direction and Bodzin more ethereal and transportive.

Und wieder geht ein musikalisches Jahr mit Elektro Uwe dem Ende zu. 30 Podcasts, die 10K erreicht, unzählige neue Kontakte/Freude ein wunderbares 5 Jahre Afterhour Sounds Jubiläum in Berlin … mein Hobby macht einfach nur Freude.

Für den Year Mix 2017 hab ich mir wieder einen langjährigen Weggefährten der elektronischen Musik ins Boot geholt. Mit Joseph Disco verbindet mich eine gut 20jährige Freundschaft, die ihren Anfang in den wilden Goa-Zeiten der Mitte 90er Jahre hatte. Er war es auch der mich 2011 mit einer Party in München wieder so richtig mit der elektronischen Musik infiziert hat. Danke Seppi ;-)

Joseph Disco steht für Techno. Als DJ versteht er es wie kein anderer die Dancefloors der Nation zu rocken ;-) und als Producer ist er mit seine deepen und spacig angehauchten Produktionen schon lange kein Unbekannter mehr. Für die letzten sound(ge)cloud Ausgabe für 2017 hat er sich mächtig ins Zeug gelegt und einen extrem gelungenen düsteren und treibenden Techno-Mix zusammengestellt … ich bin mehr als schwer begeistert. Danke Seppi für die Freundschaft und deine grenzenlose Liebe zur elektronischen Musik. 
 
Wie auch schon in den letzten zwei Jahren, hat mein Arbeitskollege Schub mit mir zusammen das Cover für diesen Podcast erarbeitet. Da uns der politische Wahnsinn aus den USA beide sehr beschäftigt, haben wir uns überlegt mal etwas Schärferes und Politisches zu machen. Und wie immer hat es Schub äußerst auf den Punkt gebracht. Danke Schub für deinen kreativen Einsatz für mein kleines Projekt. Glückauf.

Ich wünsche allen meinen Künstlern, Freunden, Hörern und Unterstützern einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr und ihr hört mich in 2018 wieder ;-)
