I give thanks to my mom and the First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Association of Ontario in association with Fresh Shift Productions for helping me create this soundscape. Grateful for my mom allowing me to record our difficult conversation on how she sought refuge on colonized lands to raise me in ''safety''. Grateful for FNMI EAO allowing me to use audio from the "In Our Words" series, specifically video 7 of 8 on the "Williams Treaty". Thanks to Jodie Williams, Dave Mowat and the many Indigenous Folks who assisted in the creation of 'In our Words'. "These videos provide many perspective through the personal narratives of Elders and recognized Knowledge Holders."
