11/17/25  Hello everyone:-) I don't use or plan to use AI for ANYTHING that I do.  And if I did, I would say so!!! There seems to be a wave of AI created music that has hit sc lately. It seems to be quite popular these days as with anything where one can make a buck without working too hard, but for me, there is a soulfulness in tracks where a human is performing.  My tracks took time and sacrifice, not minutes with a paid subscription to software.  I love every aspect of producing, creating, playing, singing, recording, editing, or whatever, and I spend as long as it takes to let a track go.  Though wealth and fame are not what inspires or even motivates me, I still have to pay rent, buy food, pay for electricity etc. as I suspect a bunch of here do, hence the BUY link below.

Epic Down is a duo from Leipzig, Germany dedicated to the sluggish grooves and lumbering riffs of sludge & doom, started in 2021 by Mitzschi (guitar(s)/bass) and Fabian (drums/vocals).
Influenced by primal doom, drone and stoner, the sound of Epic Down is mainly characterized by solid downtempo grooves and rolling walls of guitars, complemented by slightly melancholic vocals.

With the release of their first EP "Equinox Pt1" and it’s sequel "Equinox Pt2" in 2023, the band stepped into the light of publicity.
After signing to Argonauta Records the band was able to celebrate the release of „days of oblivion“ as their debut album in fall 2024.

My focus is on songs, on composition, not on style or genre. The songs  usually have lots of space for improvisation. 

I use a simple little application called "Guitar Pro", not really fit for producing, but a dream come true for rough little sketches like these...

The music production software I use is GarageBand macOS.
I play guitar, bass, and keyboard instruments.
Depending on the song, I use Apple Loop.
I record the drums on a MIDI keyboard or use the drummer function of GarageBand.
My favorite bands are 70's progressive bands such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Yes, and ELP.
I am always looking for vocalists.
