Ancient Egypt, land of great mystery, culture and achievements..
Land of Ra...
Ra is the Egyptian word for 'sun'. As a solar deity, Ra embodied the power of the sun but was also thought to be the sun itself, envisioned as the great god riding in his barge across the heavens throughout the day and descending into the underworld at sunset.
My ode to that great civilization and the Sun  responsible for all life on this planet..

A special thank you to Pamela Illanes, (https://soundcloud.com/user-315009621), a wonderful composer that even had her own work played by a real orchestra, early on during my writing I struggled with writers block for almost 2 weeks, one night we engaged in a conversation and Pam was very helpful, she gave me the patience and strength I needed at the time, writers block really gets to me. Its wonderful when artists help each other and I am very lucky to have her as a friend.

This song is the brainchild of Artur, who composed it on his guitar perfectly for collaboration, and presented it to us with his vision for the entire sound. Ken went first, of course, adding his signature rocking beat to the song. Josh went next, as soon as Ken had laid down the drums, adding his four string fretless bass sound to fill out the rhythm section. 
  Tez came along soon after, adding some foundational ornamentation with his guitar. JJ jumped in right after Tez, and laid in the majestic organ, riffing electric piano, and subtle synth you hear throughout. Finally, Stephen laid his guitar in there, too, which can be heard as a fiery melodic line running throughout. At Artur's suggestion, he also added some amazing, trippy sitar in a couple of spots, too.
  Once all the tracks were laid down, Stephen came through with his always skillful mix. This makes almost an album worth of material that The Eclectic Collective has created from Artur's ideas. We're always excited when he drops a new one in our laps. He wrote this on a sweet rainy day in the Polish summer. 
  We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. 
  (Hey guys, I want to know your thoughts on including this next section. I like that it might inspire some folks to share it, but I hate to look like a beggar, too. Please let me know because I'm really on the fence about it.)

This picture is from Simrishamn (in the south east of Sweden), which is rich in Herring gulls, Swallows and Red Kites, and some Swans.

It’s marvellous to see the swallows in the sky
their acro batic skills high up there impress me so
I just sit there watching their movements  in the sky
I wish that I could fly like those birds       
and to reach the clouds    
I want to fly before I die


It's annoying  to hear  the noise from  the birds
their howling in the middle of the night when I will sleep
makes me so mad and I start mumbling to my wife
she tells me turn around and put on Your earmuffs
they are early riser
they distribute their morning food


It’s the herring gulls who live on the roofs beside our home
their lives are insecure since red kites glide over them
and they hoover right above the balcony of our home 
it’s lovely to see when the sun shines through their wings
it’s a magical sight
I can see why the gulls are scared
