This track is about crossing over to the other side. I have tried to capture that moment when it happens and my feelings around that, since I have seen it quite a few times over the years.

What if your life all over sudden was reduced to a motel room with someone you care for but who are more interested in the drugs you have brought to celebrate new year! Not because you really wanted to be there, but because you have nowhere else to go, and the ball dropping on TV is the only toast you will experience that night. 

The constant arguments, the ongoing game of is right and who is wrong in everything and the circle that can't be broken nomatter what you say. The melancholic feeling of knowing somewhere deep inside that this won't go away nomatter what you say, you're only going to make it worse and you're a morron for trying to salve a problem that can't be fixed. 

Life takes ugly turns, and sometimes the company you're with doesn't really help out either, so whatever you do, it will still be the same in the end.

So this is a track dedicated to those who wanted life to be smooth and easy but ended up on the wrong side of the tracks!
