Spektral (formally knowen as dj liquid) began his journey in drum and bass in early 2007, with the hosting of his night ‘UK Meltdown’, bringing names of Nicky Blackmarket, Phantasty, Uk Apache, Shabba, Fearless, General Levy, Hoodlum, and Phantom to his hometown of Leighton Buzzard.
He had started out mixing all styles of music from hip hop to garage to drum and bass, bringing about the DJ name of Liquid with the ability to blend genres but later on decided that a new more professional name that mirrored his mixing style, Spektral seemed perfect. Drum and bass came to the forefront and with dedication and talent to mixing he was signed to Pure Promotions artist agency and Random Concept Academy. He held residencies for Contagious, Explosive Elements and for Conflicted bass, a night of which he promotes. Spektral over the years moved into the sound system culture of free parties and has played on various systems over the years, landing him a residency for Diatribe sound system and mighty multi genred Tearout, whilst also being a regular for various other promotions. Over the Years he has played at such events as Innovation (London), Random Concept (northampton), Illusive (Corby), Subrockerz (Northampton), Ram (High Wycombe), Bris-tek (Bristol), Boombap (Millden hall), Lean (Amsterdam), Rumpelbude (Germany) Telepathy (London), Emboidied audio (northampton) Revolt sounds (Milton Keynes) Explosive Elements (Northampton), Outer Limits (Exeter), Sticky (London), Genetic (Leicester), Unity (London, Luton) Epidemik (St Albans) and Drum Major (Milton Keynes) among others and he is now continually receiving bookings supporting names such as Andy C, Fabio & Grooverider, Ed Solo, Total Science, Jaguar Skills, Friction, Hype, Marcus Intalex, Hazard, Sigma, T.C, Taxman, Sub Zero, Garry K, Ray Keith, Ruffstuff, Brookes Brothers with the support of MCs Harry Shotta, Eskman, Fearless, Shabba, Skibadee, Messy, Presha, Juiceman MC and many more. 
You can also keep an eye out for his productions with him having his first release on Jaxx's imprint, train recordings. He is also co-owner of Rabbeat Records with Herb Doc, which had releases from Dub Motion, Morah & Locustlung & Content Confusion. 
His mixing style keeps the audience thrilled with exciting two, three and four deck mixing and tune selection, covering drum and bass from dark to jump up and liquid. A DJ who reacts to the crowd, his journey is one to watch in drum and bass!
