Piranha may be a small fish, but it makes its presence felt. As an independent label that releases and publishes music, we discover and present extraordinary sounds and artists from the global underground. Our repertoire contains worlds, ranging from traditional to tradi-modern, from classical to hip hop and electro. Recording in diverse places, not only in studios but also on mountains, deserts or the streets and in various destinations, from Maputo to Havana, Cairo to Belgrade, New York to Berlin-Kreuzberg, has always been part of the label’s history.
