Shostoppa was born in Chicago. At the age of 2 he moved to Houston, Texas where over the Years he would gain a passion for music. At the age of 17 he decided to start making his life as a rapper. In High school he found his calling in the field of Battle Rapping where he quickly found himself one of the more popular battle rappers in his area. During a specific battle one of the spectators approached him after the battle and said that he stopped the show and as a joke said he should call himself Showstopper which was soon broken down to his current name Shostoppa. After a stent in battle rapping he decided to take his career to another level and focus solely on making original music and has stopped battle rapping. Since his transition into the rap game he has dropped a total of 4 mixtapes the first titled “I Do This Shit,”  “Mixtape Murda” Volumes 1 & 2, “Smoke Break” and his latest endeavor The YSL Movement, “Campaign or Die Project.” Shostoppa is currently an independent artist who is working on new material daily and is always looking for ways to perfect his craft.
