Hailing from rural County Donegal, a place far removed from the traditional epicenters of club culture, Scoobz developed his love for electronic music through the eclectic sounds and boundary-pushing sets of artists like 2manydjs, Erol Alkan, Midland, and Avalon Emerson. Regular pilgrimages to influential Irish club nights such as Twitch, Celtronic, and Shine helped shape his diverse musical palette.
Scoobz is a resident at Dublin Digital Radio, where he hosts Sluggish Selections—a show dedicated to slower, groove-heavy strains of electronic music, with a self-imposed limit of 125 BPM. This deliberate pacing positions him as something of an outlier in a high-tempo world, drawing on the rich legacies of House, Disco, and Electro to create thoughtful, heady club experiences.
